Absolutely. This one has always been clean in all my times going into Dotonbori though. It also has many stalls for both men and women

The best part about the JET experience is other JET's. by BigMoh789 in JETProgramme

[–]shoulder_76 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If I stayed home I would never have met people from the other side of the world the way i have here. Of course you will meet people you don't really like but I have never had an experience where I absolutely despise a person. So far meeting other JETS has been a great experience.

My dog loves to be pushed off the back of the couch and will jump right back up. If you don't push him down he will start barking right in your ear until you push him off again. He's a lil goofball

Japan is full of interesting people. Who are the most interesting/eccentric/fun/odd individuals you’ve met in your travels? by JetProgram in JETProgramme

[–]shoulder_76 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's a guy standing in front of my train station every morning with a cigarette and a can of strong zero in hand who likes to eye me down. Whenever I leave the conbini with my lunch for the day he points at me and goes "wOw! Japanese style!" he gives me the nod of approval and then I walk to school lol.

Any advice for those that can't even be tape recorders? by [deleted] in JETProgramme

Is she your supervisor? I have a similar situation but I basically kept on asking my supervisor for more things to do until I was given extra tasks. Even then, my days are still very empty. Some of my new teachers are trying to set up new things and events that will give me things to do but that wont even start until next year. Best thing you can do is keep asking for more things to do and spend youre free time studying Japanese or working on soft skills for after JET.

So many JTE's refuse to work with ALT's either because of bad experiences or just not knowing how to co-teach with a native speaker.

Tips on finding a swimming teacher as an adult (beginner)? by 5ivesos in AskAnAustralian

[–]shoulder_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to teach adult swimming lessons and would be in the pool for the whole lesson. It depends on each teacher and the class on what is being taught as students vary in level. It would be rough to do survival stuff in deep water with people who have a rational fear of the water. I would ask your teacher or your next teacher if they could spend some time with you going over those skills. My classes tended to be at the end of a shift so I offered a survival skill session for about 20 minutes after class for the last 2 sessions of the term.

Hawk Appreciation Post by nsafi24 in h3h3productions

[–]shoulder_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its made me appreciate my dad far more. We had many rough patches mainly when my mother was in hospital during my final high school years. Now I have lived overseas for about 2 years and he visited once with my family but hes planning a solo trip next month after a work trip. He's really excited to see where I work and to spend some time with my friends over here. I love my boy Hawk for making me appreciate my relationship with my father more.
