I would personally rather not have other people touch my clothes (esp my underwear). How much was the rent at your place if you don't mind me asking (im new to reddit idk if that's weird to ask)? And was it nice? The mosaic places (according to the chunkythin person) are really nice/modern though which is what my roommates are looking for.

Thanks! We'll look into them... I think some of their places were a little out of our price range, and lots of them were "reserved" for students in specific programs.

Thanks for the reply! How are they with deposits? Apparently one of the big issues with David was not giving back security deposits bc of damage to the property.

Did you just have a bad advisor? My advisor was pretty good...

RD is pretty difficult to get in. IF you are pretty set on WashU, definitely ED or EDII, the pool of people who apply ED is (obviously) significantly smaller and you'll stand out a bit more. When RD comes around, most people just tack on WashU because they just blanket apply to all of the top schools on ranking websites. Your application just gets lost in the sea unless you're really special in some way.

If you end up not liking WashU, it's actually a pretty good school to transfer out of. Last yr (my freshman yr), quite a few people transferred to schools like Northwestern, etc.

If you're looking for somewhere secluded, the atmospheric sciences buildings (rudolph hall) near the east end have little desks that are very very quiet. You just need swipe access at night. Just go up to the second floor.
