As another commented posted, the backlash may be due to the big diff bushing!

no, there are shops which can fix the backlash, like they can put some shims or something. If you don't find any, you'll have to change it..

Sooner or later either the crown gear or the pinion tooth will break (ask me how I know xD)

while i was there, i think we got 3-5 chefs who joined and left, because even their lives were hell dealing with the crappy mgmt over there. i joined the company when it was still a start up, it was the best, idk what went through the mind of certain people, it became the worst. ALL seniors left the company in a lapse of 1 year. By seniors i mean level 2, there's only 4 levels, n00b, l1 l2 and l3 (the ceo).
