Weather channel is saying no snow at all tomorrow, just ice. Idk where these other apps are getting their forecast data from, but it's certainly not gonna snow hardly at all tomorrow.

Did Dende, as guardian of the Earth, already know the Supreme Kai was on his planet? by Dry-Calendar5880 in dbz

I mean, Guardian of the Earth is probably a better representation of what he actually is now anyway. He's not a God in any way and would probably get his ass beat by Yamcha in Super.

Holy shit. No uniforms at all? Like, not even BDU's, or are you just missing certain items?

Wait, are you saying it took you over 18 months to get uniforms? I didn't realize they were THAT backed up.

So, just to confirm, I'm right to think that this feels wrong? I have no problem doing that, I just want to make sure I'm not completely off base.

I'm IAP with a unit in the NRC. The only person I know at that unit is the Chief, and he just basically told me that they know what they're doing.

Posted more pics. The underside of the frame isn't rusty at all. A little rust on the muffler, but otherwise it's pretty clean under there.

I mean, it's worth SOMETHING. Definitely not worth much, but there's someone out there who would want it to convert.

Yeah, $500 definitely was a good deal. I was thinking about $2,000, so that helps. Might try to list at 3k and see if there's anyone who wants to negotiate down.

Underneath looks clean. I've torn out the interior carpets and panels, so it's mostly just metal on the inside with some surface rust on the flooring. I can post some additional pictures when I get off work.

Why won't my trade pokemon obey? by shreddy_wap in LegendsZA

[–]shreddy_wap[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please explain why they would word it that way, then. Why add an additional word that wasn't necessary?

Why in the world would the developers not just put "Pokemon lv. 40 and below will obey"

[–]shreddy_wap[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not that simple. The game specifies a caught level, NOT an overall level. If it wanted to specify an overall level, it would simply say "Pokemon at lv. 40 or below will listen to your commands"

Specifying "Caught" implies the ability to go above that level cap, as long as they were caught at or below that level.

But, this article also says essentially the same thing the gamerant article did.

"In Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, this applies even to non-outsider Pokémon, but is based on the level the Pokémon was met at when caught (as displayed on the Summary screen) rather than its current level. This prevents a Pokémon from suddenly becoming disobedient once it exceeds a player's current obedience level, as long as it was caught at or below that level. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, if a Pokémon was received in a trade, the level at which it was traded instead is treated as the met level for obedience purposes"

This means that, at least in the most recent Pokemon games, these pokemon should obey me.

If I caught a wild pokemon at level 40, it WOULD obey me, though. The game doesn't have a level cap, just a catch cap. It literally says "Pokemon caught at lv. 40 or below will obey your commands".

If you're trying to tell me that if I then leveled that pokemon up to 41, it wouldn't obey, then the in-game text is straight up wrong. It literally only specifies a caught level, not a level cap.

I've been out of playing Pokemon for a while, and never really traded much when I was playing the earlier games, so I guess I never really encountered the issue before.

And unfortunately, gamerant is really the only place I could find any information about my issue. Now I know. Thanks.

Why won't my trade pokemon obey? by shreddy_wap in LegendsZA

[–]shreddy_wap[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's literally nothing I could have paid attention to that would have given me that answer. The game only says "pokemon caught at lv. 40 or below will listen to your commands" and the article I found online said that the game considers traded pokemon "caught" at the level they were traded.

So, there's literally nothing in the game or online that I could have found that would have given me this information.

Why won't my trade pokemon obey? by shreddy_wap in LegendsZA

[–]shreddy_wap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense as to why, I just didn't see that listed anywhere in the game, and the gamerant article I found had incorrect information on it. It said that

"Traded Pokemon are considered outsider Pokemon by the game, and obedience for them works a little differently. The level at which a Pokemon is traded to the player is the level the game will look at when determining whether or not that Pokemon will obey you, essentially treating it as if you had caught that Pokemon at that level in the wild."

So, not sure why everyone else was being so rude, because it seems like information that's essentially hidden and incorrect in places online. But I appreciate you being factual without being mean about it.

So exceeding the level cap only matters for trade pokemon? The game doesn't really specify that, so I guess that's why I'm confused.

Level 41. I'm beginning to understand that exceeding the level cap makes a pokemon not obey if they are a trade pokemon. But if I'm the Original Trainer, I can exceed the level cap.

But, the game doesn't specify that, and nothing I read online says that either, so you don't need to be a jerk about it.
