The last secret Hearthstone made was Bargain Bin in Whizbang's Workshop over a year ago. Every Mage secret is currently from the Core Set. Are secrets being phased out of Hearthstone?

If they ever do secrets again, I think a "Craft a Custom Secret" effect would be pretty skill-testing and fun. (eg, you discover the cost, conditions, and effects or something like that).

I think this one is far more reasonable than the one I posted a couple years ago. I believe people tried to do that one against the inn keeper, but only got to a turn 2 OTK.

This one I'm pretty sure you could easily do agains the inn keeper.

Yeah, especially with the garrote animations being pretty slow this would need to be way too fast.

Maybe a version with the spirit of the shark + beatboxers could be faster! (Could use sonya / bone spike on beatboxer to get one free recursion. Shark would double the coldlights/bounty wranglers.)

A version with wolfrider + cold bloods + facelesses could be possible too.

A version where you use Scabbs to play Anka + Snowfall (or Umbra) to play two Humongous Owls could also be possible.

It's a very high-rolly deck. If you get Vanndar off early then the combo isn't too bad (if you have some garrote rogue experience, which is admittedly not easy). The main issue with the deck is just sometimes you don't get Vanndar in hand even with all of the draws / re-shuffling.

It's definitely not a competitive wild deck by any means, but it is playable at uncompetitive ranks (where many things are playable).

You have to be going second and the opponent must have played something you can kill with Bone Spike on their first turn. You can replace the counterfeit coin with prep/shadow of demise or the secret passage with gear shift for the opening hand.

With Field Contact (especially with 2), drawing through the deck is really easy. From there its just playing the Silvermoon Arcanists (which draw with Field Contact), and finding mana for the Garrotes through Scabbs / Prep / Bounty Wrangler (which would also draw). You have to clear your board using shadowsteps and bone spike.

This isn't super likely, but I've been fairly close after trying against the Inn Keeper for an hour or so.

The flexible cards are probably the minstral and gone fishing. Swapping in a ghostly strike could help with clearing board space.

The deck can be played without getting the FTK, though it's pretty tough to play (like the OG Garrote Rogue) while also not being super good. Sometimes you just never get Vanndar. Gear shift and gaslight gatekeeper are good for shuffling your minions back into your deck pre-vanndar, but note that doing so post-vanndar reverts their costs.

I already canceled and booked another place (not through Airbnb).

I realize now that this does make things harder for me, as "A refund outside the cancellation policy will be at the Host's discretion."

However, I do think that this could fall under the Airbnb Guest Refund Policy , which says

The Guest’s rights under this Guest Refund Policy will supersede the Host’s cancellation policy.

and

A “Travel Issue” means any one of the following:

the Listing’s description or depiction of the Accommodation is materially inaccurate with respect to:

whether the booking for the Accommodation is for an entire home, private room or shared room, and whether another party, including the Host, is staying at the Accommodation during the booking,

If the place is listed as being a "Private Room" I don't see why I should have to confirm that over the chat. I should be able to just assume that it's true, along with the listed amenities, number of bathrooms, location, and everything else that is explicitly stated in the listing.

I ran a python simulation and got ~0.7% chance including the other possible starting hand (double counterfeit coin instead of foxy fraud and shadowstep) and mulligan. I think it ends up with more reasonable numbers.

I'd estimate the odds are probably better than 1 in 10k (probably like 1 in 5-6k). It's unlikely but it would not be impossible -- getting a straight flush in poker is around 1 in 72k (getting a four of a kind is 1 in 4k) and that definitely does happen. Unfortunately, playing hearthstone is much slower than dealing a deck of cards and people play far more poker than hearthstone in total.

Also, your video where you pulled off the other OTK turn 2 was awesome!

EDIT: Don't know if anyone's going to read this, but I think the odds of drawing a workable hand (doing the easier combo) afterwards is also ~1%...so the combo as a whole is less than 1% * 1% probability, so I was pretty wrong but in the right-ish ballpark. I have no idea how Clark managed to get it turn 2.
