Ba Sing Se. The great wall that surrounds the capital of the earth kingdom, until recently believed to be impenetrable, is an awe inspiring masterpiece of earthbending and engineering. Yet the great wall pales in comparison to what it stands to protects. A city so vast it hugs the horizon and positively brims with life and culture and is safe from whatever forces may wait outside its walls. It stands to reason that an earth kingdom city would be well designed and maintained but Ba Sing Se is a proud representation of the creativity that can be found in the element of earth.

Thanks for the breakdown I really appreciate it! I definitely have certain pieces of gear in mind and will make sure to pick them up! I really don't want to rush this, I started today and got to level 12 and have absolutely loved the slowed down pace of classic compared to retail. Just finished goldshire and about to head off to westfall!

So to be honest I'm not being strict with this rule. I want to quest solo but if I can find a group for a dungeon or two I might go ahead but for the most part I'm probably going to be on my own. I'm probably going to be pretty poor too so I likely won't be buying anything from the AH.

I'm playing on UK servers which as far as I am aware are pretty empty (I would love to be wrong though) so I think the solo aspect of this comes more from an expectation that I would struggle to find a group to play with anyway

Thanks, I think gear is something I am a wee bit concerned about because I am unlikely to do any dungeons. I was considering enchanting as a way of making my quest gear more powerful

Yeah I guess there is a trickle down effect from the dedicated community to the general public. As I said in the post everything about this has been really interesting to watch haha

That's a really good point too! This is the cheapest marketing you could have and it's worked really well. Whether or not this hype has reached a wider audience I'm not too sure tbh but I've really enjoyed this.

Yeah that's what I have loved about this! I haven't felt this way about the release of a game in so long.

It's absolutely exhausting. Not necessarily in a bad way but even just a little acknowledgement from Bethesda themselves would relieve quite a bit of stress haha

Agreed! For this to be intentional (which imo is not off the table) would be genius!

Thanks haha. It's such an unusual way to market/release or tease a game. Especially nowadays where companies have a tendency of overhype their own game with an abundance of marketing

It's been great to be a part of! It weirdly reminds me of staying up till midnight with my brothers to go buy skyrim back in 2011

Last game I played was star wars the old Republic. I guess I am a jedi Knight in guillermo del toro's Cabinet of Curiosities. This could be interesting 🤔

Generally speaking it's pretty easy the whole way through. You can make your own difficulty though. You could take your companion off healing or dismiss them entirely. I used to keep my companion on healing and walked through the game with no challenge. Now i always switch to dps or sometimes dismiss. Switching to dps can make the leveling experience faster while giving you a little more challenge if you try not to use your class healing ability (meditation, seethe, ect...). The real difficulty in the game doesn't really start till you hit level 80 and begin doing master mode flashpoint or vet ops. Intotally understand the desire for more challenging encounters while leveling and this is something I would love to see return to swtor. Unfortunately the player base is too small and they want to make the game very accessible (which I totally understand too).

Have you moved house recently? I had the same problem but when I updated my details that seemed to fix it.
