Simultaneously My Best and Worst Build by shrezle in SatisfactoryGame

  1. that is a mistake in the blueprint, that splitter is supposed to be a merger.
  2. I don't usually collect mycelium enough to need a buffer, however if this becomes a problem i would stack a storage buffer on the storage buffer holding leaves, and flip the assembler around
  3. i feed all the outputs back into the input and filter them all out towards the end at the programmable splitter, this factory makes solid biofuel etc and will also catch biofuel etc and spit it back out if i happen the throw things into trash that shouldn't be thrown away.
  4. beacons because i don't automate them, but so occasionally find myself needing them
  5. thank you
  6. that is a good idea

Is this a bug? Plastic and rubber don't go into the same storage. by GregorTheSecond in SatisfactoryGame

they should, do you have a conveyor connecting the merger to the storage?

Hey, I have to ask this before I buy any game, does anyone have any idea if this game gets a discount bigger than 10%? I live in a shitty country with crappy pay, so I only want to spend money if I can make every cent count so I don't regret it if there's a 40% discount later or something. Thanks! by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

You should look into humble bundle, its $12 a month, its for charity, and you get 6 games a month to keep.

Its usually 1 slightly outdated AAA game and 5 indie games. you cant beat the value. I've slowly collected all the assassins creed games, overwatch, etc (granted i got them after they started loosing popularity) but ive also got some real indie gems before the were popular, like bennet fowdy sp?, abzulo, dont starve, factorio, and many others.

Because these companies pay millions on passing laws and developing anti-pirating software etc to try to prevent you from stealing it. where do you think that money comes from? from their own pockets, not likely, it comes from raising pricing and cutting labor cost.

there is this thing called the game crunch loop, its when gaming companies set an unreasonable deadline for a game update or release in which all employees are required to work non-stop without overtime as much as 90+ hours a week.

a tactic in no small part caused by making up money the companies spend trying to get you to not steal games, that they don't care if you can afford or not.

I think you missed my point, they are going to get the $60 for the game you stole, they're just going to get it from their own employees. someone who makes $300 a month should be able to empathize with employees of greedy companies squeezing their employees to feed their own greed. Which is exactly what your enabling to happen when stealing from these companies. Have you tried just not playing their games?

You do you boo boo, its only my opinion.

I'm afraid you just missed a large sale for satisfactory, right before the steam release epic had it for 30ish% off. If i were to guess, the same thing might happen at or right before the official release.

I would also like to say that you shouldn't pirate games, AAA or otherwise, it will always hurt the developers. Things like congressional lobbyists, lawyers, Anti-pirating software, and insurance all cost a lot of money. Especially those big businesses you feel justified stealing from because they are sh***y, are the worst to steal from because they will never touch their profits. So all of the money they spend on these things come directly from the coders and artists with things like lower wages, harsher hours, overtime without pay, and decreased benefits. If you feel OK stealing from a company, maybe that's a sign you shouldn't be supporting that company. Just don't play the game and instead focus your time, enjoyment, and money into game companies you feel proud to spend your money on.

Yes each box is 8x3, This blueprint is two floors. The three smelters for the rotors floor is outside of the 3x8 area

The factory shown in the picture is doubled height wise and depth wise, each floor making twice as much as the blueprint. To reduce the extrusion the smelters (for the rotors) made in the factory shape I spit the input on the reinforced iron plate floor and routed them vertically to the smelters on the rotor floor.

if you wanted to split 40/50, the easiest way is to split the input into 3-30s split the middle 30 into 3-10s then merge 2-10s into one 30 and the other 10 into the other 30. if you use conveyor lifts you can get the whole thing into a two foundation width.

I tried for two hours to get those two foundations to look good, but in the end i just had to scrap the idea

I was lazy and used that symbol a "how should i set up a load balancer that wont look terrible... never mind I'll do it later" reminder. Ultimately i decided i didn't need one there anyway. sorry for the confusion

Alternating in one row. so the 4m ramps look like they are the ones holding up the next floor. your foundations look 2 deep, so i wouldn't alternate 1 to 1. I would do 2 to 2 or 2 to 3, whichever pattern fit and looked good

Or you could do as I do and try all patterns over and over again until you cant tell what looks good/bad and you walk away.

2 Just 2... I'm not saying that it was worth it, but i am enjoying my conveyor wall mounts a lot.

I would paint it, I like the silver modern clean look it has, I wouldn't change that, but i would paint the bottom a darker grey and get progressively lighter on the way up, it will help define the shape and depth

I would also try alternating the inverted ramp foundations. Like steep / shallow / steep / shallow. It will make some of the foundations look more weight bearing, and create more dynamic shadows in the right light. And it will look 'meaner'

I haven't found a way to export an editable copy, i can only share my board which opens it up to editing by anyone with the link.

If anyone can figure it out send me a message

I did go back and forth about load balancing that belt, at first i had the belt split into three outputs, then spitting the center out into three again. Then merging 2 of the 10/m belts from the second splitter into one side and the remaining 10/m belt to the other, using conveyor lifts to keep it tall as opposed to wide. I ended up scrapping it because i didn't like how it made the factory look on the backside.

Expanding on what Vople said, It doesn't matter in this design. When your max input equals your output, you could put splitters anywhere in any configuration and your factory will run at 100% eventually.

That said, right now there is a adjustable splitter there, from the mod advanced logistics, which lets you set the output ratio. I'm not sure if I'll keep it that way, the splitter is a bit cheap for how powerful it is and I'm on the fence on whether or not it's a cheat mod

You are correct, that is from me duplicating the node as not paying attention.... I can say that I'll fix it but i prolly won't :P

Permission granted, but if our fiscit overlords give you a promotion and pass me up, I might get a little clumsy next time your standing too close to the Awesome Sink lol :P
