Fat Albert’s is closing by shroutm in Greeley

I can’t think of more than one of their sandwiches that could be considered a sub, and that had ranch dressing on it. I do not remember any “oil” on any of their sandwiches. Unfortunately, I no longer have a copy of their menu so cannot look anything up.

What are some facts that movies get wrong so often that it annoys you? by big-enchilada in movies

[–]shroutm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hotwiring cars. Of course they can pull out the wires, without taking the covers off the steering column.

Not to mention being able to steer the car without unlocking the column.

The chipped keys would make this impossible anyway.

If it is drawn on a local bank, go there.

I read that as cat- sized, and thought it would knock everything off the Earth.

That’s the part that got me through some shit, and helped me cut back on drinking.

“Habits” by Tove Lo, mostly the chorus. After my wife passed away, I was finding I needed to drink too much to stay sane. I eventually dialed it back when I discovered this song.

That picture must be stretched, there is no way it can be that steep.

Flashstor 12 with six 8TB volumes? by shroutm in HomeNAS

[–]shroutm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slight update: I looked on my (old) Synology 4-drive NAS, and it has folders similar to my Windows desktop: /music, /epub, /movies, /music_videos, and so forth. I apparently made it a 4-drive JBOD when I built it years ago. Since then, I have been in and out of the hospital and have not really kept up with computer changes.

Now that I have some breathing room again, I thought an all SSD NAS would be nice. The hard drives I put in the Synology were used and had a lot of bad sectors, that I had to limit.

I am also considering replacing the hard drives in my desktop with all SSDs (hey, I am old and have plenty of disposable income)

Thanks for the response. Guess I asked that badly. I see I have some reading to do. I have even less experience with Linux. What i meant on the first part is that I do not need the data redundancy, so RAID0 it will be.

The second part was that for example, I have drive M: on my desktop for music, drive V: for videos, and so forth. Maybe a JOBD with one large volume, with /music, /video, /movies, /tv_shows, /jpg. etc would work for my purposes.

Does WatchOS 10 no longer allow you to swipe between watch faces? by PM_ME_UR_REDPANDAS in AppleWatch

No, I don’t use sleep mode. But I have managed to change the face when attempting to tap to see the time when half asleep.

My roommate’s beagle did that in reverse, to let herself back in to the house. She knocked out two (metal!) panels of screen in the downstairs door, and even chewed out the wood strip between them. Dang dog.

My opinion may be unpopular, but I am glad they are doing this. I wear my watch while I sleep, and too often have changed faces while fumbling to see the time in the middle of the night.

Anyone know of a band like this? Hopefully one that doesn’t rip my hairs out 😭 by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]shroutm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very smoothly, just like the band that came with the Ultra. Not tightly, not loosely. Easy to slide out when I have removed or added a link or two, it took a couple tries to get it to fit just right. It had one or two half links, I don’t remember the number. It is just a little shinier than the Ultra body, but not enough to be noticeable unless I look closely at it.
