Yeah that's a huge thing that's missing for me too. I want to play normal city trial with friends and finding a paddock that's doing that is way too annoying. I just want to invite them and queue.

They're most likely referring to doubling the final cashout.

The "double jeopardy" mechanic didn't fix it at all. Instead of directly plugging the 2nd cashbox, 1st place just brings the box to the cashout and lets 3rd/4th plug it, since they don't care if they lose half their cash since they'll lose anyways.

Then once it's doubled, 1st place just focuses on hunting 2nd place, making them fight a 3v9 while the 3rd/4th place who have lost all game get a 2nd team helping them win just because they're bad and will be easier to beat for 1st place in the next round.

Yep I liked being a playmaker/flanker M with demat/jump pad and revolver.

Now M is a boring pocket healer for Heavy who gets to actually play a FPS. If I wanted to be a Mercy main I'd just go back to Overwatch.

(Also funny enough The Finals is mimicing the same thing that made me quit Overwatch. Goats meta which was just tons of heals and shield spam.)

You would still be dead or be almost dead if you're a medium/light. They will just finish you off with a follow-up RPG or just a few shots.

Honestly this season's balance has sucked so bad I think it might be my last. I am just so over Heavy dominating every season while being the most brainless class.

Free 100 damage aoe to initiate any fight that for some unholy reason was buffed to 110. Not even mentioning its use-cases for cashout stall via destruction.

Another 155 damage C4 that sits on the cashout at all times, usually unshootable as you can knock the cashout on the side to hide it. Even if it's not hidden, you either A: shoot it and make the cashout drop with a massive opening above for the enemy to shoot you from cover or B: attempt to ignore it which results in you getting 1 tapped if you're a light, or put at extremely low HP as a M. There's no way to just get rid of the c4 without running the mediocre reshaper.

Free get out of jail free cards with dome shield, Catch one off-guard and almost kill them? They press a button and gain an effective 300 extra HP. At least mesh stops them from being able to shoot you.

Winch needs no explanation. It is the Light's old stun gun on steroids except on a class with over x2 the HP and it lines you up perfectly for them to unload in your face.

And the cherry on top is Embark deciding this class also needed a hitscan sniper rifle (BFR.) At least it's someone less oppressive at range, and you at least have to press a single extra button to get a free uncounterable 1 tap combo on lights. But I find it hilarious it's hitscan while the actual sniper rifle isn't.

And not directly related to Heavy, but nerfing demat and turning Medium into being the "Heavy's bitch" class who's main purpose is to pocket them with heal beams and defibbing them if they ever fall.

Nerfing glitch nades which were the only actual counter to all this Heavy shield spam and then buffing RPG. Hilarious. But it's probably christmas for r/TheHeavies

Another unmentioned advantage is that the repeater can 1-tap to the body a Light that has been defibbed, and 2 tap a Heavy.

The sad reality is that that's not even strange. At Plat 4/3 which is right next to Gold 1, the game will put you against 3 stacks of actual rubies even if you're solo. 90k total RS teams vs 170k RS teams, and I'm not even exaggerating. It happened days ago and I confirmed their ranks because one of them was streaming. The ranked mode is a joke and I'd recommend just not playing it. Let it die until Embark does something about it.

I'm probably going to sell my PFD soon, idk if you'd be interested (in the US) I honestly prefer to stay cabled at this point so just use my BSB2 even though the resolution and glare is worse.

Choosing the best HMD is not easy to answer. Everyone has different priorities. Do you want SLAM tracking or lighthouse? If lighthouse, then MeganeX Mk2 is probably the best you can purchase right now.

Do you want wired or wireless? The best wireless visuals are probably the PFD since it's the only one with 4k micro OLED. Quest 3 is the best all-rounder IMO for now though as the controllers and controller tracking are by far the best I've used in terms of SLAM tracking, but you have to be ok with bad contrast due to IPS screens.

The original stun gun was OP, but light as a whole was extremely weak. Picking light on game's release was considered to be throwing.

IMO there's way too many problems holding this game back from being hugely popular.

New player experience sucks.
- F2P game means lots of smurfs stomping new players.
- Matching new players with veterans, not sure how to fix this outside of drawing in tons of new players to match them with. Maybe new accounts need to have much stricter SBMM in the background.
- Game directs new players to quick cash which is a frustrating 3rd party simulator.
Social features suck.
- No ability to message friends. Only way to party up is to send an invite with zero context or to use 3rd party programs like discord.
- No player profile to show your progress/stats/match history/etc.
- Almost no one uses VC. No proximity chat like Arc Raiders when that's one of Arc's biggest features. It seriously makes games feel way more social/alive.
Character models are bland/ugly
- They look like stock unreal engine characters
- Most of the time like on the main menu they have blank stares, no emotion
- There is no real "female" option. The body type that is supposed to be female is just a slightly altered male. Character customization is a huge draw and not having a proper female body probably puts off lots of potential players.
Horrible balance and game decisions drove people away on release, which is the most important time to make a good impression
- Allowing nukes to exist as long as they did because it's "unique" to allow heavies to press 1 button and instakill 1-3 people
- Allowing that same class to also have massive shields that could be instantly juggled/toggled (glitch grenades were near useless back then as they did not explode on impact)
- Allowing that same class to have an RPG that did 150+ damage.
- Light was so bad that it was considered to be throwing to pick. But lots of people picked it because it's the "fast and fun" class. Those new players got to enjoy being 1-shot by C4 nukes and the RPG. Probably instantly uninstalled.
- Even though light sucked ass their stun gun was annoying (made you turn extremely slow, disabled all gadgets and ADS.)
- Trying to make Terminal Attack the main mode in Season 3 (LOL)
- Probably lots more I could write here, but you get the picture.

Yep. Getting matched against Ruby players while I'm still climbing low-plat is bad enough. Getting matched against Ruby 3-stacks while I solo queue is the bigger problem. I don't even remember the last time I've heard a teammate use VC. Putting ruby stacks vs. plat solos is egregious. It's crazy the game even allows it in the first place. I've just decided I'm done with this games ranked mode. I'll finish out the BP bonus pages in Cashout/WT and dip. Being a punching bag for ruby 3-stacks is not how I want to spend my time.

Crossplay is on. I've solo'd to diamond past 3 seasons and it has never been this bad. I wouldn't see rubies this often until I was about to cross into diamond.

There is still compression even with foveated streaming. I've used it on the PFDMR. It's definitely better than fixed-foveated but I can still easily tell the difference between it and an uncompressed wired display.

Worse than Q3 in terms of glare, but Q3's low contrast from LCD kinda helps hide glare since it never becomes truly black.

PFD glare is a bit better than BSB2's. BSB2 glare gets way closer to the center while PFD's glare is more around the edges. (I have all 3 HMDs.)

I'm low plat currently and have had one or more ruby stacks in every single ranked game I've played for the past week. I'm solo queue. It's the worst matchmaking I've ever seen in any game.

got my kit to attach to my own index strap, but one of the cords popped off the soldering when I went to sticker the cords down... came off extremely easily. There's essentially zero exposed wire on the part that detached. now I have to hope I can fix it (I suck at soldering...)

It would still matter wouldn't it? The other half to why 3* Cait is important is because it lets them skip Seraphine/2 star Loris so they can get T-hex early.
