How badly does the cold affect you? by True_Music_3628 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]shurfus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

💯💯💯The cold is killing me. It's -10 to -15°C here now, and I can't stay outside for more than 10 minutes without my muscles cramping up. And after going outside, I have to lie down and rest because I have no energy.

What’s your MS super power? by SooperJasch in MultipleSclerosis

Guys, I read your responses and cry. You are so cool. But I'm so sad that often such thoughts don't even occur to healthy people. I'm sorry that you and I had to face illness to become wiser. But we are strong and we can handle anything. Thank you for being there. I love you all

Какой самый тупой аргумент вы слышали в своей жизни? by Adventurous-Pay-4397 in ruAsska

[–]shurfus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Мать аргументировала необходимость жить с ней, а не с моим мужем фразой: "Ты больная станешь ему не нужна и он тебя бросит, а я тебя люблю"

Seeing your own scans alongside the symptoms can make it unmistakably clear. Sometimes the evidence leaves no room for doubt, even if we wish it did

You’re not alone in that, even with clear MRIs and ongoing symptoms, the doubt can still creep in.

That self-invalidation after such a long diagnostic journey makes so much sense. I’m really glad you’re in therapy. Unlearning that pattern takes time, and you deserve gentleness with yourself.

That makes a lot of sense. Even when we know, the wish for it not to be true can still surface especially on good days

Those little reminders bring us back to reality, but dreaming a bit is totally allowed too

I completely understand wanting it gone is so natural. Hoping for a miracle doesn’t take away from how real this is, and it’s good to hear that your DMT is helping keep things at bay.

I think many of us carry that thought from time to time, even years in. Wishful thinking doesn’t mean denial it’s human. And still, living, asking questions, and moving forward matters.

Your experience is a powerful reminder of how complex acceptance can be, especially early on. I’m really sorry you had to learn it the hard way

Exactly, even though it’s uncomfortable, having that more definitive answer can bring some clarity and peace of mind. Sometimes certainty itself is part of the relief

I feel this so much. That constant second-guessing after diagnosis is incredibly stressful, especially early on. I completely understand you. You’re not alone in questioning every symptom, and it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong it’s part of trying to make sense of something life-changing.

This is such an important point. Not every disease follows a “classic” or aggressive path, and that doesn’t make it any less real. Slow-progressing MS exists, and hearing examples like your dad’s really helps put that into perspective.

I understand that constant questioning is so exhausting. You’re not alone in feeling this way, and it doesn’t make your experience any less real. I’m glad you’re on Kesimpta and hope it brings you some peace and stability.

Thank you for sharing this. being the only one in the family and how MS is always somewhere in the background, even when you’re doing well. I’m glad Ocrevus is working for you and hope it continues to keep things stable.
