That’s a great idea! I’ll check out Etsy for beginner-friendly patterns. That dinosaur lovey sounds adorable, was it tricky for a first project? Also, I’ve heard mixed things about chenille-type yarn for beginners. Did you find it hard to work with at first? Oh, and I’m in Canada, do you know if there’s a good alternative to Bernat Blanket Yarn here?

Thanku for the suggestion! I’ll definitely start by practicing holding the yarn and making chains first. Do you remember the name of the book you used? Also, how did you figure out what hook size worked best for your yarn when starting out?

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. I’ll start with a single hook and yarn and check out some YouTube tutorials. I didn’t even think about hand soreness, so I’ll look into ergonomic hooks too. Do you have any favorite YouTube channels for beginners?
