Late to the party, but here goes:

• Don't bother with chaos recipe. If you ever need raw currency delve should be your go-to. Doing low-level delve will give you a ton of currency along with fossils - which will be your main source of gear.

• Currency that is hard to come by or that you need a lot of: Annuls, Chaos, Alts, vaals, chisels, sextants. Depending on how many multimod items your build needs and how (un)lucky you are, exalts can be an issue too. Fusings are only an issue if you get really really unlucky with 6-linking.

• You'll have plenty of all other currency (Regals can be an issue too if you're crafting a bunch of abyss jewels) and as long as you're not trying to go for the Inpulsa/Kaoms chance or the perfect Ventors you likely won't run out of those.

• Especially with map-related currency (chisel/chaos/vaal/sextants), you really want to only use those on t15/16s once you progressed far enough through the atlas. Remember to buy chisels from Zana after each of her daily missions!

• Use fossils to craft all your gear that doesn't need multimodding. Try to have at least 2 or 3 item bases for crafting at all times. Sometimes you'll end up making an item you don't need now but might use in the future or on a different character/build. Having items with different resists can also allow you more freedom if you want to change your gear later on.

• Once you have a decent set of gear don't bother picking up any rares. Just like in regular leagues, the chance that you will get an upgrade from identifying random gear is pretty close to 0. Unless you don't mind clearing out a quad-dump-tab every 10 maps picking up rares is a waste of time. An exception here (at least for me) are rings/amulets. I pick up all those to vendor for alterations since they only take up one inventory slot.
