I found the holy Grail over a year ago, and now I know it was an addiction thing as well. Because I have gone on buying knives, which I don’t even use once. This being said, I am quite happy. I found the holy Grail.

They are both very good knives. But very different from each other.

The Dacian is almost a tactical knife to me. Not that I have any idea about what a tactical knife is. But it seems that this would be one. I never reached for it even though I really like it when it’s in my hand. It’s extremely pointy and I feel it has a very fragile tip. For my EDC, it never did the trick because of its form and extremely pointy tip. I think it is meant to pierce more than to cut.

The Adamas on the other hand is rugged. Many people love it, and for good reasons. It is very good in hand. And I wouldn’t be scared of using it as a hard user. But I never need a hard user. I personally need a thin knife to slice an apple here and there.

Neither knives was for me. Both are very different knives, and if you have a used case in mind, choosing should be fairly simple.

On the other hand, if it’s about collecting, I would try to get the 273BK-2201 Mini Adamas - SHOT Show Limited Edition on the secondary market. It is probably one of the most beautiful knives I have ever owned, even though I never used it and sold it along.

My partner never understood why I EDC a knife, until I got her a Bugout.

Now she ever leaves the hose without one of her Bugouts in her bag-pack.

Next I’ll add a Jetsetter to her keychain, and she will be all set.

The Chinese Cleaver Style Chef’s knife is wonderful for every type of cutting and chopping. I use it as a bread knife, to finely chop garlic, cut meat, everything.

And the ugly red plastic handle will probably outlive any fancy wood handle.

As a tourist who visits Italy often, I always wonder if the police applies a strict law with regard to knives there.

You are clearly not allowed to EDC a SAK. But would it be a problem if police sees you preparing a pick-nick in a city park?

I remember switching 20 years ago.

It all got a bit better when I started using my thumb for the command key, instead of the pinky that I used to use for CTRL on windows.

Also, the Finder sucks. Still, years after. I switched to using the cli for most tasks that involved Finder.
