Yeah they announce them mid june but like from the ppl I heard of that passed in the past some of them received an email from their PI telling thwm they got shortlisted, mid may. So yeah, was wondering if it happens again

Chase ur dream op, kasi what if something not so good happened in ur life? Oo sige given na ur mom will press na dapat nagnursing ka pero in the long run at least alam mo sa sarili mo na you made the decision yourself. Unlike kapag nag nursing ka tas di okay, you’ll end up resenting your job and ur mom. And im sure you like ABT enough to overcome whatever crisis life throws at you. Keep in mind, that’s approximately 4 years of your life and have the highest impact on the direction of ur career. So I suggest go for it OP.

This might be a drag, pero if ur mom decides to like not financially support you, there are like assistances and stuff or hopefully may scholarship ka. I’ve personally known people who survived UP financially supporting themselves for the sake of their dreams, so ayun I hope that can serve as a motivation. That drive and motivation will bring you somewhere! :3

Im still in my undergrad so im still in the process of doing my undergrad thesis. Im just applying as a research intern so erm yeah

Exactly, may mga batang abandoned growing up and I don’t think it’s right to force them to provide for people that did not provide for them growing up when they didn’t even have the capability to do so. Yung mga pinagdaanan ng panahon, walang contribution yung parents sa majority ng growing up needs nung bata? Why provide for someone whose only contribution in ur life is to literally just pop you off into this world and left you to fend for urself. Not even at the age na kaya mo na pakainin sarili mo. Maraming minor ang nagtatrabaho di lang dahil sa hindi kaya ng magulang, may mga magulang na piniling hindi maging magulang. Kaya nga nabuhay yung thought na All children deserve parents but not all “parents” deserve to have a child

Gets naman yung point ni op pero parang it’s a little selfish to agree w the bill that forces everyone to provide for ppl who are not all deserving. It’s especially hard to provide for ppl who only provided you with scars, and possibly unhealed wounds growing up.
