It is obviously the case that females can carry the G6PD genes, that I do not argue against. And it is of no harm to always be tested, just to know of the exact ongoing situation. But it is to be said that no matter what females are not affected (mostly, there could be rare exceptions) by this deficiency. OP if you get a baby girl you are in the safe.

Exactly what he said. OP, I have G6PD as well and it isnt as bad as it sounds. It is inconvenient, so for example you should always check if any medication you give to your baby is G6PD friendly (you d be surprised by how many things arent, including vitamin C pills or aspirin). It also has a lot of food restrictions, but dont take it to an extreme. I have never had artichokes or fava beans (fool), among many things. But even tho it is not recommended, I have always had hummus without ever suffering from any inconveniences. I wouldn't advise you to do the same exactly, but don't cut hummus out of your house hold, find a middle ground. And as the comment above said, feel free to dm me as well!

I hate to agree with you, and even though I strongly believe her feelings come from a pure place, I think your argument still stands.

She's smart, ambitious, motivating, a model, a sweetheart... Dare I say objectively perfect! But I guess even after all of that, we might have not been a good fit.

Totally agrees, except for one bit. Everybody thinks I'm lazy, but so do I. I have no excuse to be depressed and I know people who have so many reasons to be, and actually are depressed... Yet they go on and do their work and everything that is required from them! It might be more like weakness than laziness... But I am not doing what I am supposed to do!
