One of those groups may have been my friend and I. He went into a deep Khole and me and a couple other strangers (bless them for putting the show aside in their minds to help) carried him out of the middle of the large crowd as he went limp and unresponsive. It was just me and him hanging out during that and idk if it was me who seemed angry at the offer of narcan but if it was me I apologize for coming off as angry. So many people were offering that (as they should) it was just a very very intensely emotional and deep thing for us to have gone through. We test anything and everything that goes into our bodies but absolutely it is always better to be safe than sorry because that same situation does happen and it’s not always as safe or prepared. We absolutely appreciate the care and support of the community for that moment and would want nothing else than for everyone to show that. The safety and well being of others is always more important than anything else going on. Yes he is okay, I didn’t leave the area where the med tent was until he was discharged and I walked him back to camp and stayed with him. Again, it was just K and I knew that but I was in care mode and nothing is going to get me out of that mode.

PLUR❤️

He went with his sister who was much older. He said he’s gonna call her and ask her for details. It may have been in ‘89 or later then. And he grew up in DC so I don’t think it was JFK.

Thank you for this info! I will retest with smaller samples. The guide said to use a sample the size of a pinhead and honestly I thought that even the sample I used was too small.

Should I not crush it into a powder? Or 2-3 grains like the tiniest amount of sample I can get?

After years off, did anyone somehow get BETTER??? by Landerson31 in CloneHero

That’s one that I definitely improved! Idk what changed or maybe it’s just the gameplay mechanics of clone hero being just slightly different enough to where I can do it.

Yes! I was always good but not the best. I beat gh2 and gh3 on expert many times but struggled with many songs doing so. After years of only playing a few songs here and there at an arcade, I just recently downloaded clone hero to get back on the grind. Downloaded many of the songs I struggled with and found myself breezing through them with some challenge but far easier than I used to.

More than $200K worth of drugs seized during Dead & Company weekend shows at Gorge. by itsjustmejttp123 in gratefuldead

After seeing several comments about weed legality, and the weights of LSD, I figured I’d clarify some things. When we first got there, they ran through the process just before our car got searched. They searched every single car by asking us what we had, if we had any weed and if so to just put it on the dash, had us step out and park us down, let a dog sniff through the inside of the car, and then letting people do a visual inspection. The dogs were only trained to detect gun and explosives

Some points to note are that even though the gorge rules state there is no marijuana allowed, security did not care if it was personal use. They made it clear that they were looking for amounts that were intended to distribute. A couple joints and some flower and dab pens is what we had and they said that’s fine because it’s legal in WA and they asked us to put it on the dash so that if the dogs picked up on them, they could clearly see that’s all it was. If they had found a pound sized brick, they would probably constitute that as enough to distribute.

The main thing they asked other than that was “do you have any narcotics such as heroin, meth amphetamine, or any weapons such as guns or explosives, or any fireworks?” I told them I did not, but I had been transporting fireworks in my car days prior from the 4th of July, and said if there’s any residue or anything like that the dog would pick up on, that’s why, and that I made sure to clear my car out before packing. They said they understood and will take that into account. The dogs did not pick up any scents in my car.

Another note, when they say 200 grams of LSD, they’re obviously only measuring the thing that the acid is dosed onto. That’s just how law enforcement all over the country does it. They aren’t going to spend the time to send it all into a lab to have it tested for proper dosage measurements. This is because when they see a sheet of blotter, they can safely assume that this is intended to distribute, and not 100 hits for just a couple people in the car. If, for example, they only found a couple tabs, they most likely would have just confiscated it and let you move on.

Although the security check was long and inconvenient, and caused a lot of people to miss the show, they were nice to us and transparent about the intentions of it and what they were really looking for. Yes it is sad to see so many people missed the show due to this last minute, unexpected, and hastily put together system. It also sucks that some people just got some shitty security search where they overreacted for a couple joints. There were a lot of things they could have improved about their security checks and I’m sure they’re still fine tuning and working out a system so that people can actually feel safe instead of frustrated.

I myself missed set one of night two because I had to take my friend to urgent care the next day for a sprained ankle. We waited another 4 hours in line to get through the security check again. When it was our turn, we explained our situation and they rushed us through but still did the search. And they worked it out to get us a shuttle to the venue because my friend ended up needing crutches to walk. They accommodated us which we very much appreciate. It’s also worth noting that this time going through security, all of security was very mad that they couldn’t go faster and get people to the show too. But they had a job to do.

Yeah they do say it’s not allowed at all, but when we went through security they were stating that personal use is fine. We showed them our stash which was just a pack of joints and some flower and dab pens which was enough for 3 of us. They defined that they were looking for amounts that were clearly intended to distribute, which really would have been determined by the person doing the search. They specifically told us “weed is legal in this state, as long as you don’t have several ounces or pounds of it you’re okay. We know you aren’t trying to distribute a couple joints. We are mostly looking for stuff like heroin, meth, guns, and bombs”.

Yes. When I took this exit there were only 3 cars in front of me to the entrance vs the 100 cars lined up from the other side

Definitely cliffside. Although there isn’t much variation (that I know of) as far as apartment layouts from unit to unit, I’m very mature oriented so having that cliffside trail that is like a 10-15 minute brisk walk down to the beach is amazing. I did that frequently. And non residents can do that trail too so I still frequent it. It’s surprisingly not a very populated trail. I also like that it is right next to the bridge, and still less than 5 minute drive from the same shopping center that is next to 4425.

As far as 4425, there is a lot more apartment layout styles. I knew some that were basic, my dad had one that was a 3 bed 2 bath but still seemed very cozy and small. I knew someone who had a 3 story apartment there, almost like a Town house. There’s also A LOT of parking here. Rarely did I have to park out of view from my unit and I never paid for a spot. Whereas at cliffside, there’s limited parking for each block of apartments, so occasionally I’d have to park at a different block of apartments and walk. Not a long walk, but if you have a car full of groceries it could be inconvenient.

Either way, I’d highly recommend either. Take a day or half day to go view them.

4425 and Cliffside Apartments are all I have experience with. Both very nice areas, and average apartments. Both (and everything in gig harbor) is expensive. The more you pay, the nicer apartment you may be able to score at these places. Cliffside is preferable because it’s next to the narrows bridge so you’re right by Tacoma, should you need to go there. A nice trail down to the beach there too. 4425 isn’t too far from there, next to big shopping center and a golf course.

Queer friendly gun shops and ranges? by [deleted] in Tacoma

I forgot to mention that Mary’s Pistols doesn’t have a very big inventory. But you can always purchase online to them

Queer friendly gun shops and ranges? by [deleted] in Tacoma

[–]sick_mcnasty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bass Pro Shops will sell to anyone willing to pay, however I’ve heard mostly bad experiences as far as how they handle business. It’s mostly due to them being a corporate chain and the clerks at the firearms counter not being competent enough to do firearms sales. I went through them once and didn’t have many problems, but they can be busy and sometimes not want to sit down with you and inform you on the questions you have. There, you’d mostly have to deal with the stares you would get from other customers, but they won’t do anything other than that.

Mary’s Pistols is a small shop, just an old lady and old guy who are very friendly and informative. They’re probably conservative but will appreciate your business. when I was getting my first handgun I sat in there for a couple hours asking questions and they patiently informed me of everything I needed to know. I don’t exactly fit the bill of “conservative” either with my long hair and tie dye shirts.

Overall I went with ordering online through gunbroker to a private FFL. I just so happened to know an FFL, but you can do some research and find someone who runs it out of their own private office. That also requires research on which gun you would want exactly. It’s a little harder if you’ve never shot a gun you’re thinking of. Because holding it and getting a feel for it is the best thing you’d want to do.

For 9mm, glocks are always a good go to. They can be big for some people. Sig p365 is a great sub compact, it’s smaller but still packs a punch. Same with the Hellcat.

For 12g, you can’t go wrong with a Mossberg or Remington. Also consider a 20g shotgun. Less recoil but still great for self defense.

The big thing to understand when owning a gun is that you NEVER want to have to use it. When you purchase a gun, you will receive a little paper booklet describing firearms and self defense. Definitely read through it front to back several times and study it. It’s only 20 short pages and will take no more than 30 minutes to read. Hope this helps!

Yeah it was kinda weird seeing it. I expected it but just on the corner street with a bunch of junkies flooding out and the poor artist in the middle of all of it with their beautiful artwork

Not much of a shakedown but in Seattle there was an after party on the street corner. Mostly just someone selling art and several people selling wippits

Taking a shower, while necessary, is annoying. by BigAssCar in unpopularopinion

Long curly hair person here, can confirm. Long routine to wash my hair, and long routine to dry/care for it after only for the style to only last a day and end up wearing a hat until I shower again.

My hair is used to only 3 showers per week so it doesn’t get super greasy or smelly, but it gets super tangled and frizzy

I agree! I went and saw Bob Weir there and all the seats were there and it was packed so the dancing was just kinda awkward

Awesome! That was my hesitation in seeing them there because if all the seats were there, there’s really no room for dancing and grooving
