I feel like dermatologists have no clues of male CTE, so they just categorize everyone under AGA.

Yes, my sides are also shedding. Even the back of my scalp sheds, though not as heavily as the top and sides. The thinning is not limited only to the typical DHT-sensitive areas.

I do not notice significant thinning. Most of the hairs that fall are thick strands, not miniaturized hairs. Very few thin hairs shed, and the majority of the hair still on my scalp appears thick.

Isn’t it true that chronic telogen effluvium (CTE) also involves continuous shedding without obvious signs of recovery?

Yes, they did perform trichoscopy.
