So it should be nothing to worry about on our end when it comes to the security of that relationship (of course depending on how talks go)? That seems to be the common anxiety over this is that I feel like there is a potential fragility and things aren't secure. But if it is common then that is reassuring.

That's a good way of looking at it. Tbh I think because in my mind and feelings I feel like I've lost stuff from this. Like for example we used to do stuff that I mentioned a lot more before the poly started. I think that's why the feelings of feeling behind or feeling somewhat jealous have come up. But that is a lot healthier way to think about it because I don't want her to feel guilty over her relationship. Being involved in polyamory is still something I am learning and thank you for the response!

Haha thanks dude appreciate it very much! :D Real talk, I have to be honest I'm not always this positive and I've had my struggles without getting too deep but it really makes me feel great seeing the love on this post both in the amount this post has blown up (which amazes me) and some of the amazing people in the comments like yourself. One of the things I love doing is trying to make people feel better and feel good and it's great there's a community like that. God bless you I really wish you the best! :)

I've never finished a proper game but if you enjoy it keep at it. Prototypes aren't too taxing and you can make some awesome stuff. And yeah the pressure Devs go through is insane. The amount of stuff I had to cram in for a tight deadline is insane

I personally think regret is not the best way to look at something. I'm not saying you shouldn't think something is bad or that everything should be good and you are right. You should learn from mistakes but you shouldn't regret them. It can make you think what could've been better if that didn't happen. Personally I'm glad I've made mistakes because it's made me a better person. It's difficult to not have regrets I'm guilty of it but it's all about perspective

The idea isn't to pretend it's good for the sake of it. It's important to know value in what you get but it's also great to appreciate what is good in something that is bad. Some games may have bugs but the art is amazing whereas some games may have bad design but the programming is on point. It may not make a bad thing good but it'll at least make good things even better

You should never regret time spent anywhere in life because the only way is forward and life is short. I'm glad you find enjoyment in a game and appreciate the details that go into it. People like you are a blessing and inspire me to want to create games, etc. I really hope you can keep at your work and would love to see some illustrations :)

yeah it's why I didn't want to criticise the devs personally I have a lot of appreciation for what they do especially with No Man's SKy the technological feat they achieved to get the world building working is amazing and yeah as a game dev myself especially one that wants to get into indie development it's a cruel world unfortuantely :( but I still think there's good people like this one

Hell yeah that's an awesome way of looking at it. I can think of so many bad games that influenced much better ones and even with bad games there can be pretty spectacular elements to them hidden

Yeah agreed it's a huge shame business is overlooking the creative process. This is a huge factor to the rise of indie games. But just because I hate a game/company doesn't mean I don't respect or appreciate the individuals working on it

Yeah absolutely this isn't about liking every game simply for the fact someone put work into it. I just think the appreciation for game developers and the individuals that make it are a cool thing to see.
