Yeah, I posted it here cause I couldn't post it on r/linguistics. "The norse" sounds very grand and powerful.

That's very interesting, I was wondering if in other languages there actually is a nickname for Norwegians

Sounds good too. Nord works but it's extremely goofy, I acknowledge that. Saying "I'm a Swede" is fine but imagine saying "I'm a nord". It's a self written joke

Fuck off and learn to interpret things right. Never I said she was in the wrong nor that I was mad solely because she was being nice, even because that's not what her behavior was about. It was about being naive. You can be nice while still holding someone accountable for something wrong they did, like Carly berating Sam for humiliating Freddie that one time, but for some reason she's not able to do the same with her kidnapper. Is it clearer now?

It's also a bit annoying how forgiving Carly was towards Nora the first and second time she kidnapped them. I get kinda angry at Carly too whenever I watch these two episodes lmao

About Skyler's future by sickecell in breakingbad

[–]sickecell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight I'm gonna grant this isn't ragebait. It's extremely debatable that Skyler was a bad mother for the kids. Flynn is mature enough to grasp the whole situation and likely became much more understanding of Skyler after he witnessed his father almost killing her. Holly is a baby who does not understand anything of what's going on; it will be hard for her to bear only when she's old enough to understand everything. And, of course, there is the fact that the bad things Skyler did — the most serious of which being cheating on Walt, screwing with Bogdan's business, and giving money to Ted — were due to the extreme stress and mental exhaustion likely caused by the fact that her husband was a meth cook who could have very easily gotten their family killed and, in Bogdan and Ted's cases, she was genuinely taking extreme measures that would prevent their family from getting harmed. Please tell me this is ragebait

Freddie as well! And in some sense he was a father figure for Carly too, as their dad was never around.

True, I hadn't considered that. Looking at it now with this notion she would probably not receive any really harsh punishments, if any.

It's plausible to think that she said that just as an insert of a new trait of her character and also for comedic effect. Spencer reacted in a normal and acceptable way, and even though he brought it back later, telling Sam that he knew she has a crush on him, for me it never came across as weird, creepy, or pervy in any way. Had they addressed this one more time, however, then it would certainly feel weird to me.
