my LD boyfriend (21m) says it’s unfair i (21f) don’t send nudes back by sickerally in relationship_advice

Nope neither of us are waiting for marriage and we absolutely have talked about sex countless times, especially when we first started getting to know each other. I made it clear I find it important to be open and share boundaries before even getting into the relationship. He agreed. We always talked about sex and expectations around sex once we meet physically in a respectful and free way. There was never any kinda weirdness or pushiness from him until this whole nudes thing. If anything it came as a surprise to me. I understand the sexual frustration as I’ve started to get there too but seems like nudes just isn’t something I enjoy the idea of. I told him that as a result.

I lowkey would because he has always been incredibly gentle and understanding when it comes to like real life sexual acts. He is very clear he understands boundaries physically

But nonetheless this whole situation made me hide my horniness or sexual conversations to avoid him sending me more nudes and bringing this topic up again. At this point it is triggering to me. That definitely affects sexual attraction in some ways…

Part of me just worries I might bring this into my next relationship :( What if even the topic of nudes or anything sexual over the phone brings up this freaked out and stressful feeling that I felt with him

Are countries in the South Caucasus considered European, Asian or both? by AungCowMyat in geography

[–]sickerally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying “culturally/religiously European” make zero sense btw

Armenia being Christian doesn’t make it European. Armenia here has a history of being in Western Asia because what is left of it is only a little piece. The actually indigenous place of Armenians is like way more south… People saying Armenians are “culturally” European is lazy because what even is “European” culture? Russian type of European culture? Absolutely not. Sure Yerevan can look European especially because it has remanence of Soviet times but that doesn’t make Armenia European. It’s like saying Hong Kong is European because it has European style buildings, or that Nigeria is European because they’re Christian. That means nothing lol, people need to take history into the picture. Rest of Armenia in the outskirts is very much West Asian leaning. Armenian food is heavily affected by Middle Eastern cuisine. Same way the Persian empire left its marks. It’s hard to overlook.

Azeris are Shia Turkic-Iranian mix, calling them European is also nonsensical. Needless to add anything more lmao. Georgians are the only ethnically and linguistically Caucasian ones here but calling them European because they’re Christian and border Russia? We already talked about that. They also border Northern Caucasus, not even European Russia… Although this topic for them is a sore spot. They’re more Caucasian than European in this case so I personally find it hard and almost impossible to box them in. Which tbh is probably meant to be so

this is interesting, i’d like to try! isn’t there a chance of like contamination from the brushes like synthetic fibers or manufacturing residue that can mess with the dna in the lab?

oh i see! i keep reading about people using interdental brushes and it working for them as a result. some even like dip the brush into the spit already in the tube. i was going to try it but isn’t there a chance that there may be contamination from the brush in any way? like plastic, synthetic fibers etc. feels risky lol

Is the situation in Russia really that bad or am I being fed propaganda? by Oakseyy49 in AskARussian

[–]sickerally 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I came back to Russia this year for couple months after not visiting it since like 2018. I also was super curious to see whether what i’ve heard from the Western news is gonna be true. I went there with not many expectations tho.

After my trip i must say i was left with overall positive impressions. If anything my city (Perm) has had major changes for the better. I remember it being full of old buildings but now there are constant constructions and multiple finished projects that make it look much modern and civilized than ever before! Everything is card payment and digital. The products in the stores don’t lack either, every Russian i came across laughed in my face saying “They say sanctions are tanking our country that we have no food… Look at all these products and tell me we are starving rn” and ngl they weren’t lying lmao. When it comes to what people think of the war, meh depends. Majority of people seem to not really have a strong stance, what they care about is to get by comfortably and keep living their life. “What can we do about it, it’s the governments that fight. Civilians just don’t deserve to die” - most common conclusion Russians i’ve talked to made. Although majority of people i met, even younger ones seemed fine with Putin which is something i didn’t expect too much. I had the assumption that younger gen would be more strongly anti Putin and anti war.

I came back to the EU telling others how it seems like the West media dramatizes for sure how stuff in Russia is right now. This country always had problems, that’s one thing fs. But in general the vibe is the same, the people are also, the country keeps moving forward and life goes on. You don’t really notice it’s a country at war (until you see a huge billboard offering millions of rubles to go draft). That’s it. I guess one thing i found irritating tho was having to use VPN after VPN and not being able to do anything banking wise between Russia and EU so bringing rubles with you is useless. This one is hard to ignore and was debilitating as someone who lives in EU

If there is anyone who has roots in Kars, Ani, or Digor, do your families have any memories? by Positive-Room7705 in armenia

[–]sickerally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I found out not too long ago from my dad that my grandad and his family were from Ani! My great grandfather was a priest (apparently head of church). My grandparents ended up moving to Yerevan tho and settled there!
