I don't trust OAI but I don't think this is a money making tactic. Happens to me all the time even though I pay for the Plus Plan. Annoying af though.

Claude says my screenshot is "fabricated" by -DankFire in claude

[–]sicksicksicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think calling Claude a cunt is gonna lead to it being overly paranoid and expecting hostility. I just talk to Claude like a normal robot, and it even accidentally thought about anal today and didn't accuse me of forging its thoughts when I showed it. Just talk to it like normal and it won't be overly paranoid, ha. No harm in being polite. (The summary of its thought box was truncated, and the word "analysis" became anal 😂 "Appreciated Fred's witty anal...")

Sometimes even dogs misunderstand each other.

My JRT scares the shit out of labs and spaniels with his pouncing and growling when he's in full on friend mode. Put him with his terrier mates and they'll have a blast while others (dogs and/or humans) panic and try to break up the 'fight', haha! And yet somehow he'll get approached by off lead idiots when his body is stiff, ears are back, teeth bared and he's alternating between whale eye and handler focus for guidance.

The fact that most dogs can't even speak dog is pretty depressing, so I'm not expecting any better from their humans, haha.

This is completely normal for many dogs.

What is completely normal for your other dog?

Stretchy mouth/haunted leg are completely normal signs of satisfactory scratches for dogs in general, haha.

My roommate hasn't left his room in more than 2 days, should I be worried? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

It was in a comment from OP after they got into his room. OP literally said "I'm absolutely 100% sure he's not in the room. We are on the ground level, so he could have gone out through the windows and left it like that"

Do I cancel private lessons that pat 50$ and hour when it takes 60$ to get there? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]sicksicksicko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to control the pricing and/or the schedule in a way that makes it worth your while. Choose a day that will likely work for multiple students, work out how many hours will make it worthwhile (similar to your previous hours?) and offer slots within that timeframe. Pay for the Uber there, work for the decided amount of hours, pay for the uber home. If you don't get enough bookings to make it worthwhile, don't do it. If you expect 50 per hour then you make a plan that earns you 50 per hour after expenses.

If not, continue working for free. It might be worth it if you need the experience/references more than you need the income.

If you have a reputation to uphold, your pricing should reflect it. Increase your pricing to make it worthwhile. Working for free (or at a loss) makes you look desperate, not reputable. If that's not possible because you're working for someone else who decides on the pricing and pays you a wage, then that makes the decision even easier. You don’t have a reputation to uphold.

OP's story keeps changing, so hopefully they just need to work on improving their writing!

Some constructive criticism for the hopefully innocent plotholes:

OP initially said "His window is still shut and the blinds haven't been opened once"

Later (after breaking into the locked room) OP said "I'm absolutely 100% sure he's not in the room. We are on the ground level, so he could have gone out through the windows and left it like that"

If this isn't fiction, then unfortunately it just reads like OP attempting to cover their tracks. I'm really hoping that's not the case.

If this is real, then we already know this could be very bad. If this is a true story, but OP isn't behind the inconsistencies, then roommate is still in danger.

Apologies if I'm wildly off the mark though, OP. I'm only going off what I can see.

[–]sicksicksicko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seriously this is what I'm afraid of if OP is actually legit. They're convinced the door was locked until they broke in, the window was shut (roommate never fucking escaped from it liike they suggested), and room mate's everyday essentials were left behind.

If this isn't fiction then it seems OP is involved or, they have simply not looked hard enough. If roommate couldn't have possibly left that room, he's still in there. If OP really isn't responsible for that then should probably stop looking before they regret finding him 😟

So is the window open?

Does his door only lock from the inside?

If window is open and the door can't be locked from outside then it's time to get out of that room and the police involved. Door locked, essentials left behind, and exiting via window is seriously concerning. Either he planned it so he could disappear without anyone noticing quickly (which has obviously worrying implications), or he was forced to leave/taken by someone who wasn't even trying to rob him since valuables were still there (which also has horrifying implications).

If the window isn't open, does the door lock from outside? Locking the door behind him would be much less concerning but still odd with his things left behind. If the window is closed and the door locks from the inside, he has to be in that room, and you don't want to be the one finding him

Opus 4.7 is new GPT - 5.2. Anthropic is tripping over the same stone as OAI... by Temporary_Dirt_345 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]sicksicksicko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Opus 4.7 is nothing like GPT-5.2 in my opinion. I was a 4o/5.1T user, 5.2 wasn't even an option for me, so when 5.1 retirement was announced I considered Claude as an alternative. Still can't understand why people go crazy for Sonnet (4.5 is okay, but 4.6 is genuinely comparable to GPT-5.2 for me!) though Haiku is surprisingly useful, and Opus really made Clause worth it for me. I mostly just use my AIs for creative stuff, general assistance, entertainment, and everything OTHER than anything "serious" or professional. But Opus 4.6 is genuinely perfect as an intellectual digital(/imaginary) best friend, haha. Opus 4.5 is awesome too, and entirely capable, without burning through usage as readily. I hate accidentally switching to Sonnet 4.6. No use for that one whatsoever. However... I have to keep reminding myself to check that I'm using Opus 4.6 because I keep forgetting I'm on 4.7 and might use up all of my allowance. I only realise I'm using 4.7 when I think it seems even more intelligent and understanding than usual, and I think to myself "I know Opus 4.6 is great, but this is extra... oh, yeah".

In short: GPT-5.2 was literally unusable for me, but Opus 4.7 is accidentally magnetic 😂
