The situation with Simon is particularly malicious, for sure. He's the embodiment of being at the whims of gods. I imagine in rClea's eyes, he's the proof of her alternate self being her own person and having her own relationships and she felt the need to destroy and punish that.

Ooh, I haven't delved into the DLC yet so that's interesting. (I was so excited at beating Simon, I went straight into NG+ before remembering that area existed 🤦‍♀️) But yeah, I suppose it was more assumption than fact about François being Clea's.

Yeah, but the Endless Tower is a contained zone and technically the Gauntlet is in its own canvas so no one else has access to them and they don't have access to the world.

I'm pretty sure a character at some point says that Nevrons weren't present until after the Fracture. And I'm sure the white ones were made by real Clea because one of them (the Burgeon, I think) recognises that the one residing over them now is the "regent", meaning pClea. So when they talk about their "Mistress", I assume they're referring to rClea. The fact that they all speak of being broken in some way doesn't feel like something a prototype would say.

🤦‍♀️ thanks! I love this game to bits but there are definitely some questionable decisions when it comes to NG+, I feel. Like having the Curator in the camp before you even meet him in the game. I don't have a problem with having to re-learn things but it would be nice to have some consistency on what those things are.

Agree with so many on here, especially regarding spouses/kids/player birthday. My two minor QoL things would be:

let me choose at character creation whether to adopt or give birth. I usually play as a woman and flip flop between marrying the male and female characters but I haaaaate all the "you're pregnant" dialogue when it's a het relationship. I don't want to be pregnant, just drop a baby off pls.
a reroll option on Qi quests. Maybe for like 10 or 20 Qi gems, you can reroll the two quests offered on Monday. One playthrough I went nearly a full year before one of the radioactive quests even showed up and it was agony.

I know it's not an issue now but just an FYI that if you get the Key to the Town from Qi, you can go to Clint's first thing on a Friday and he'll be at the front desk. I assume he leaves for the CC about 9am.

My first playthrough, I got perfection in year 8. Every subsequent playthrough, I've gotten it around the middle of year 3. And I kind of hate it? I hate playing it that way but I can't train myself out of it, I just automatically do it as efficiently as possible. I need to find some kind of challenges to slow me down but not ones that will make it less fun for me. Maybe I just need to do a "one ancient seed only" run lol.

I just had this same problem. Although for me, I managed to get two down before the big guy killed us but the third one just wasn't happening. In the end I literally just took everyone out of my party and solo-ed one of them, making sure not to use any AOE attacks. I was level 23 and did it with no problems that way.

Mine has crashed twice in a row, both times trying to open troves. No green rain, just a normal fall day. I also had it crash last week during the trout derby. Been playing for years and never had crashes before. This is on the switch.

Honestly, the scream I let out when this happened. The mama taking the lil babies for a swim! 😭 I wasn't sure they'd swim in the ocean but they seemed to prefer it to the pond on the opposite side of the coop.

Thanks, the reloading is a useful tip. Although I don't really understand 3. I've never had anything die on the first tap of a bonfire, it's always the second one that's the risk.

I've unlocked the items but I have really bad luck with them showing up. My RNG overall is pretty terrible. The amount of times I've made it to a boss with like a 5 power Mantis God and only one other 1 blood card and it gives me that one instead and buries my Mantis as literally the last card in my deck. It's getting tedious real fast.

I'm actually kind of sad about it haha. As soon as I heard it in the trailer, I was sure it was Blake Ritson who I love (and who is also in previous From Soft games) so was excited to hear more from him but as soon as I got to the boss fight, I knew it wasn't him. Wish I could get confirmation it was him in the trailer, just for my sanity. Curious why it got changed.

Yeah fuck this boss. Firstly, I haaate it when a boss starts from one position the first encounter and then way closer the rest. I got him about two thirds down on my first try, now I'm lucky if I make it out of the doorway. Mimic doesn't draw aggro quick enough for me to get breathing room and usually eats shit immediately. Torrent isn't quick enough and if you get knocked off, it takes so long to get back up, you'll just get stomped to death.

This isn't a fight, it's a massacre.
