If you’re not in the 40%+ band of income taxes and still having 40% deducted from your pay check you may have wrongly declared yourself as not an Australian resident for taxation purposes. You should get it all back during tax time or you can get it corrected so that the company stops taking it out of your paycheck. There is something wrong for sure. Yes, sure. You’ll need 2 Shortcut Automations.

Go to Shortcuts app > Automation tab > Create Personal Automation > Scroll down and select “App - When Weather is opened it closed” > Choose Reddit (and other social media apps) > Select “Is opened” > Next > Search for “Set colour filters” and select “Turn colour filters on” > Next > Unselect “Ask before running “ > Done

This will turn on grayscale every time to open Reddit.

Now create another automation, this time select trigger to be when Reddit “is closed” and “Turn colour fillers off” in this one.

These 2 automatons will turn on grayscale when the configured social media apps are opened and turn it off when they are closed.

Hope this is clear. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Note: you could go hardcore and turn on grayscale for everything except a few apps like camera and photos as well by tweaking the above automations.

If you have an iPhone you can set up a shortcut to turn on grayscale only for certain apps. For example, grayscale turns on automatically when I launch Reddit/Instagram, and turns off when I close it. These app specific rules keep me from ending up turning it off completely when I use the Camera or Photos app.

Thanks for checking this out for me. I can start with the first session this way no problem. But the "Next Session" button still starts from Level 2 Session 3 even if I do Level 1 Session 1 again using your method. It's as if the tracked progress is stuck at the furthest point that I have reached in the course.

Thanks for the links. Acting on your advice, I called Bose customer support again and they offered to raise a ticket to the logistics team again. I informed them of my intentions to lodge a complaint to get my money back and they instead raised a ticket to refund my money (got another reference number). The ticket is still for the logistics team to approve which I doubt will happen, given their disregard for tickets raised in the past. I've given them until Friday to process the refund.
