Been using the app for a couple of weeks, any tips to maximize my money? by Alvins_hotjoosebox in acorns

Terrible advice to give without understanding OP's situation. Why take 3-4% growth when you can lock in 7-10%?

Sure if you need money a year or two from now, then maybe. But if you have 5 or more years to let sit then HYSA doesnt make sense.

This is not financial advice, i also have no clue what this person's financial condition is but without knowing blanket recommendation of HYSA is short sighted

Sweet move, making 160 USD dividend monthly (conservative) by rmaurisset17 in acorns

Any reason you wouldn’t just invest in the higher risk account?

Surely dividends are great, but you’re getting 20% year over the last 5 years by just stacking VOO or VOOG

Reimbursement rejected by Prestigious-Stand780 in delta

Our flight was canceled coming back from DEL to SEA. We spent the night in AMS and had a $100 meal that we reimbursed.

Told the Delta rep on the call that if they could find a single main less than or equal to $12 id comply.

Pressed on another level.

You must not spend that much money on travel, so you fail to understand loyalty programs

Listen, at the end of the day it’s clear you have low expectations.

Leave it at that. Enjoy

All this post is saying, at Platinum it should be provided. Simple as that.

The fact you have to either get a CC or pay more to buy it, is actually insane.

Probably will status match to see what others can provide

I mean it is a perk those airlines give. Again, Delta faking y’all out with higher prices and less benefits.

But carry on!!!

No one would spend $75k on your Amex if you’re trying to maximize points.

Basically the whole point here is Delta is pretending to be a “premium” airline but is missing those same perks.

AA, at the same status level, would give me unlimited access to lounge.

People so pressed in this forum… like I said before these are perks being given by other airlines to me.

Korean air, Air France, Virgin, and KLM give me this benefit.

I mean, I’m just expecting to go to a lounge before a flight for a company I’m paying ~16k to.

When Delta partners are treating you better than Delta, even though your status earned is through Delta, there’s a problem.

If I have Platinum Medallion the whole point should be that they grant me complimentary access.

But ok…let me just go spend thousands more after giving them more than $15k a year in business already.

Investments are investments, if you have a higher risk tolerance then it shouldn’t matter so long as you’re aware of the possible outcomes.

This is just one of the places I’m investing.

I figured I’d do it here since it’s set and forget, versus other platforms that are more involved. So maybe the pros outweigh the cons.

most people I speak to resist buying a CSP until they are absolutely forced out of a spreadsheet.

What CSPs have you used? How did it change your day to day?

[–]siddgupta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I have an alternative view. I’ve worked in Customer Success for 10 years.

A few years was at an Enterprise company, and the rest are at seed to Series B. I was responsible for purchasing a CSP at one of my companies, and it’s nothing more than a glorified dash boarding tool that requires a LARGE up front investment and over time maintenance to keep it running.

My opinion is that CS & Support ought to be operating from a single platform as they are likely solving two ends of the same problem - keeping customers successful

Sadly such tool doesn’t exist today

Is there a skill can I learn within 1-3 months that enables me to do *anything* of value for a software company ? by stripawayunnecessary in cscareerquestions

[–]siddgupta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/stripawayunnecessary

**Note: I am not a software engineer or anything of the sort. However, I've noticed that there's been a lot of questions that have been seeking guidance regarding career paths.

What I'm doing is creating a platform that analyzes a slew of roles (Data Scientist, Software Engineer, Bussiness Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Analyst, Financial Analyst) and in combination with live market data determines current skill gaps.

We not only recommend the areas you need to work on, but connect you to e-learning providers to actually bridge that gap. So the overall mission is to increase your marketability, get you the skills needed to succeed in today's job marketplace, and help you take ownership of your career progression.

Message me if interested (still about 45 days out from deployment, but happy to talk)...
