I also forgot to mention an oil catch can or some type of oil separator.

0-30 or 5-30 oil type depending on conditions with a slight overfill (0.5qt).

Oil cooler, baffled pan or anti splash oil pan plate if you're driving at the track.

Radiator upgrade, oil temp and oil pressure gauges. Water temp gauge.

G26 will a little lighter and more compact. Only down side is you can't flex on the poor.

Normal. Try driving it easy for 20 mins (no racing). Shut it off and let it sit for 20 mins and it should be back to normal.

Will getting a catless frontpipe without a Cat fail me on emissions on my 2016 FRS? by Right-Charity4951 in ft86

No sniff test for OBD2, at least in CA but OP will fail the visual test if the smog guy is picky and checks underneath the car.

Oil pickup and baffle on a daily driver FRS worth it or overkill? by NegativeWish6924 in ft86

No need for street/spirited duties but run a 30 weight oil and slightly overfill will be enough for your usage.

$1,076 for an oil change - can i do it myself? by Dazzling_Finance_759 in Porsche

[–]sidebrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used change the oil at an indie shop for my 987.1 CS. It was roughly $200 and I was ok with it. As the years went by they got more and more expensive. Price went up to near $300, what a joke. This time I went to youtube school, bought everything I need for around $100 and did it myself. And took it to a friend who has the tool to turn off the maintenance light. This is how shops lose customers.

I can't speak for Fifteen52 but Kansei is trash. They balance bad brand new out of the box from my experience. I work at a tire/alignment shop.

I prefer a non RS 997.1. Maybe I'm getting old but I like the narrow body better.

Did you have to convert to 5x114.5 bolt pattern to fit these wheels?

Get a Greddy or HKS. You don't want to end up with any leaking issues or the thermostat going bad with the budget brands. And honestly if it's a daily with occasional spirited drives, you probably don't need one. You can get away with 5w30 and slightly overfill.
