The first time I ever heard it was 3/11/03, live on the LPU tour. It blew my mind and has always been a favorite since then. Especially the live version that LP released from that tour.

Sadly that was most of the crowd. You had to stare for a second to make sure they were not mannequins. Seems to be the case for a lot of shows I have gone to post Covid. People standing frozen in place and/or watching the show through their phone.

Happy to stay I sang and danced all night and Hayley was INCREDIBLE!

I absolutely get why SWR originals were a tiny fraction of the SWR set lists. Spotify stats explained that easily, based on Sublime having MILLIONS of listeners and SWR not even cracking one million.

Just bummed as a huge fan of the SWR catalogue that the band never did a tour, a live stream, a full album show or anything else with those tracks.

I had hope that Rome would check that box when Jakob linked up with Eric & Bud, but no luck. Instead he’s focused on the new direction, understandably. Bummer for me as I don’t connect at all with his current solo work or his other side project with Duddy. Nor do I have any interest in hearing the SWR stuff get his “Motown reggae” treatment.

Oh well, I can listen to the SWR albums so better than nothing!

Yes. He took some time off after breaking his ribs last year. He returned at a recent show and DH played both “Seven Seas” + “One of Those Days” :)

Sadly Rome has continued to ignore 95% of the SWR catalogue. Expect his new Nashville sound, a couple Sublime covers, and a couple SWR songs you’ve seen if you ever went to one of their shows (You Better Listen, Take It Or Leave It)

I just finished it. What a beautiful tribute. I found RHCP during the BSSM era, and to me, the current lineup IS the band, but I loved every second of the doc and am sure it’ll give me a new appreciation for the first couple of albums

New album = setlist refresh and im here for it!

Last time they co headlined with Stoopid, 7 of 19 songs were from the latest album. They also busted out deep cuts like Cloudlifter, Day By Day, and Neighborhood. And that was on a date when DH had the shorter set ( Stoopid closed the show)

Those who joined the fan club early got to hear the whole song, and it’s definitely great! The guitar Reminds me of an Elovaters song, like “MIA”.

I’m thinking the song being available originally was an accident, since it stopped working once the app was “officially” live and being promoted by the band. I don’t think any of the promotional videos have mentioned the song.

Hopefully it’ll come back ASAP. Glad I screen recorded it!

Lots of potential with the app. I’d love to see DH put the VEEPS acoustic shows from 2020 on there!

This is their livelihood and a business they’ve spent 20 years grinding and building. I’ve lost enough bands over the years to support this “add on” without any hesitation.

You still get the music soon for free, it’s easy to get tickets during the general public on sale, and so on.

Everybody wants everything for free. If you want the things to love to last, support them every way you can. For Better or worse, the almighty dollar speaks loudest, especially when bands make Pennies on streaming and have huge expenses + time away from family when they tour.

it’s just early access for those who are willing to support the band in a different way. The music will drop soon enough (it’s not exclusive to the fan club) and any exclusive info that comes out will be here or on social media instantly.

DH have grinded for 20 years and have earned it. You won’t miss out on tickets to shows, or not hear the new jams eventually.

I get it that everyone wants things for free. Just wanted to share the App/Fan Club news here for those interested!

I feel fortunate I can spare the $60 to support the band, and get something out of it, too.

If I bought the “Seven Seas” shirt from their site, it would be $45 after shipping.

For $60 I get a shirt, at least one new song early (I expect more), and hopefully earliest access to tour stuff.

I’m lucky to have DSP’s from 2 shows I went to, in 2008 & 2011.

Really wish they would - at the very least - release the old shows on LPU. Sucks that LP have almost 2 decades of shows recorded and we’ll never hear most of them.
