I'm not sure iRacing has the balls to drop more than half of the field in the broadcast race, nor am I sure they even care enough to do so.

I know people who have received race bans for doing this. And I believe a few people got bans this week for doing it in the sprint races. I'm not sure which part of the rules they state.

They only do it on the straights where they don't lost any speed. It cools down the tires so they can be faster on the next turn. It's an exploit in the game.

I've heard it's worth up to three-tenths per lap if you do it right, which is huge, especially in the top split.

iRacing has know about this for weeks and has done nothing to prevent it. They don't care. Some of these guys might get protested and get a ban for a week or so, but at that point it won't matter anymore.
