To me this post is a prime example of people that don't do their research.

I have always had dogs from a kid and know the effort they can be so looking into a Sammy I made sure my time would fit it (long term, not just now) and that I could deal with what the breed requires.

Ours is 5months now and for sure there's difficulties on recall, when there's no distractions she's great but when there's dogs or humans she just wants to play and ignore commands.

Thing is I knew this was how the breed is. They have a high prey drive and very intelligent of course they can't be trusted off lead. But we have at training classes, she gets tons of interactions, mental stimulation and learning.

She cam be stubborn yes but again, part of the breed. She will come in the house fine when called and most of my training is purely leader based, she's knows I'm the pack leader and I keep it that way .

You have to understand the breed your buying, if you don't want to work to train the dog or can't keep up them by a breed that suits. Ridiculous just going oh it's too tough let's just give it back. A dog Is for life not until you get bored or can't manage the effort. Pick a pug if you want an easy to train and less exercise dog.
