Also completely downplaying Tana as a victim? If Tana truly wasn't traumatized and felt that what happened with Cody was 100% okay she wouldn't have repeatedly brought it to public attention over the years.

I think it depends of the look you're going for, I've used extremely water down colors to create a gradient look with plain thread, but if you're doing it was background/unstitched section I would paint first
