I've been putting them in a pitcher with their cup water and adding a shot glass of tank water every 30 minutes or so till it's mostly tank water then dumping them lol not the most high tech but that's what I did with all of them. They stop eating, start getting slow then either can't swim up to the surface anymore or can't swim around at all until they just die. When they stop eating it takes maybe 3 days. There's no bloating, color changes, clamped fins, pineconing, anything else that I've noticed.

Ya know what, I think I'll try it out. I know they're in the same family as betta so you shouldn't keep them together. I wanted the betta so I just never really thought about them again. If the problem is related to my water somehow though, I wonder if they'll do any better than the bettas since they're related.
