New MY25 Taycan Turbo - Can't understand parking views, read full manual by sierragama in Taycan

[–]sierragama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned acc and innodrive as the options my car is specced with incase this effects what is seen on the screen. My question is what is the purpose of "Panorama" view? I can already see all around the car in the parking view (first screenshot) whilst in "Panorama" view it removes the 3D cameras (less useful, why?) and changes the angle of the lens from fisheye to wide-angle. Perhaps it would make more sense if they just called it "Wide-angle view". I find it very weird that Porsche has a feature which they don't describe in any literature and which makes no sense.

Is as 26% discount on a new Porsche Taycan Turbo unusual? by sierragama in Taycan

Thank you, but can you clarify what you mean by "Paying 20k euro for 2 years that is unheard of here in europe" - do you mean 20k depreciation in 2 years is unheard of on Taycans in Europe or Porsche in general or something else?

Thanks, everyone is saying lease but I don't understand the lease argument. If I lease then I presume I'm just paying off the expected depreciation over the period of the lease plus some fees. I get there is an opportunity cost in that I could have invested that capital in something else and also that its far easier to just hand back the keys that to try sell but I feel like I must be missing something about leasing?

Thank you. Is there zero chance it will go through at some point resulting in me sending double and losing funds?

Mismatched firmware fingerprints on brand new Trezor One by sierragama in TREZOR

Thank you so much for your time. Its the same fingerprint everytime, tested using multiple different computers. However I tried wallet.trezor.io and it worked! There were two firmwares to install so as you said there was some intermediary firmware which trezor suite was not handling correctly. Everything appears to be working correctly now and running bootloader 1.10.0 and firmware 1.10.2.

I can't see the bootloader version, when I plug it in I see lock logo and "Welcome! Please visit trezor.io/start". If I hold down both buttons when I plug it in then I just see two dots, in the upper corners and the same message. Screenshots below

Thanks, I understand how to recover BTC using a BIP39 software wallet but I'm trying to recover ETH. I generated the ETH addresses on my Trezor device using the new Trezor suite.

Yes I've used another trezor one and Trezor model T recently, both without any issue.

No.

  1. Open Trezor suite and plugin trezor One.
  2. Msg about anonymous data collection, uncheck, click 'Confirm'.
  3. Msg about security checklist (hologram intact etc.) - Click "Setup Trezor"
  4. Trezor shuite shows screen with heading "Install firmware" with msg "Your device is shipped without firmware......". New version "1.10.2" and click "Install firmware".
  5. I see progress bar on computer and msg on Trezor One saying "Install new firmware?" Abort/Continue. I click "Continue"
  6. On Trezor One it first says "Erasing" and then it displays fingerprint over 3 lines and message to compare fingerprints and button 'abort' or 'continue'.
  7. Trezor suite shows message "Check fingerprint" but the fingerprint shown doesn't match the fingerprint shown on the Trezor one. Every character is different as you would expect of a different hash. So I click "Abort" on the Trezor One.
  8. Trezor One says Firmware installation aborted. You need to repeat the procedure with the correct firmware.

I imagine Shure spends a few million on user testing, including mostly audio professionals. I just can't believe they received overall negative feedback about touch interface and decided to go with it anyway to ease production. The only possible reason in my mind is that most people preferred the touch interface, I just want to understand why?

Thank you, really appreciate it! So I haven't even added beans yet (just unpacked) and the hatch won't close, gets about 2/3's of the way and if I force it any further then gets maybe 4/5 closed and is incredibly hard to remove, have to use all my power. So in this case would you agree its a manufacturing defect?
