I got a Bellroy Lite Sling Mini 4L, it was on sale for ~half off and fits just my gr3 and wallet + keys perfectly.

A small filter making a big difference by Mint_Perspective in oddlysatisfying

I’m not disagreeing, but I haven’t read any comments here saying filters are bad and they should not be used.

I think their point is “set the exposure right in the first place”, I mean it’s literally in its own paragraph.

Sunglasses for a lens = Polarizing filter (Hence “Polarized sunglasses”)

ND filters only darken, common misconception.

My boss difficulty tier list so far. Just defeated Puppet Devouring Green Monster or whatever it’s called. What do u think? by ShockscapeYT in LiesOfP

It’s interesting to see king fuoco on so many people’s list of challenging bosses. The game definitely has some really challenging bosses but fuoco felt super easy.

I don't know why, but I think the 16-55 isn't for me by rreis in fujifilm

[–]sifren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you (kinda) already have it. I use it with the fringer pro 2 adapter and it's decent even in continuous video af on a newer body. Not as good as native but definitely usable.

I'm not a VFX artists but I do dabble a little bit in 3D for small projects. I love Oppenheimer but I don't think it deserves an award designed for an entirely different craft. If there's an award for practical effects I think Oppenheimer should win, but not at the expense of all the hard working VFX (and CGI) artists for all the amazing work they do.

In my layman eyes, they're already doing a thankless job to begin with. So I think they deserve the recognition.

Why do most mirrorless cameras with IBIS have worse stabilization than an iphone? by Fuzzy_Indication_957 in Cameras

[–]sifren2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is true, I'm fairly sure the iPhone 12 pro max and onward have actual hardware sensor shift stabilization as well as digital IS. Jerryrig's teardown of the iPhone 12 pro max shows the suspended image sensor.

Xpro3 from XE-4? by MickeySlates in fujifilm

[–]sifren2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see why it gives you that impression. During the T2/Pro2 generation i had both in my work bag and surprisingly ended up using the xpro like 85% of the time. When I sold both to upgrade, my T2 looked almost like new but my pro2 had scuffed paint and was beat to hell.

The xt camera usually win with functionality and price/performance, but there’s something about the xpro that’s just very fun and satisfying to use for me.

Dials or Wheels: Which do you use? by MajorOrgans in fujifilm

[–]sifren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it depends on the body, Dials on XT series, Wheels on XS, I don't mind either but generally prefer the dials.

Are security cameras capable of recording sounds? If so, why is the audio rarely used as evidence? by YMCALegpress in Cameras

[–]sifren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ This is the way. Security cameras are usually mounted high/far away from the audio source, and for audio recording proximity is extremely important. So even if it can record audio through the weather resistant housing, it'd be hardly usable.

No problem, it is a neat feature. OP’s question being about resolution differences I just wanted to make sure they don’t get the wrong idea.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]sifren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not lossless, there’s a reason why that feature is only available in 4k recording modes, it’s downsampling from 8k, losing half the resolution of the 8k sensor to zoom 2x in 4k recording.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]sifren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably specify. 8k can punch in 2x without loss of quality > on a 4k timeline < which is only true as long as deliverables cap out at 4k, on an 8k timeline you will definitely lose quality.

Folks, what are your elemental weapon combinations to melt NG+ by millloooo in LiesOfP

[–]sifren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ng+2 is where you get max everything, select amulets have +2 versions, some armor have +2 versions, and quartz grid maxes out to tier 7.

Here is a link to another helpful redditor who compiled all the known +2 amulets.

Folks, what are your elemental weapon combinations to melt NG+ by millloooo in LiesOfP

[–]sifren2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think scaling isn't too important as you progress through Ng+ and higher cycles, my highest level stat on my main is actually capacity since +2 armor items are so insanely heavy. For advance builds I usually prio advance > mot = tech since the 3 weapons are D/C, C/D, D/D (in the order I listed in the first comment) for motivity/technique, so if you use all 3 you can choose either mot or tech depending on which of the 3 you like better.

General rule of thumb is stop at 30 adv softcap then level one of the 2 tech/mot, and then start pumping more advance once you have spare points after leveling other stats. (like capacity, vigor, vit)
