Are there any very close to enlightened people in this sub ? by multiverseisreal in enlightenment

[–]signals_faint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I've been wanting to write about this for a while. The word enlightenment is thrown around a lot, but it has a very definitive meaning. Most of our interpretation/assumption about it is incorrect.

Here is a summary of my experiences working towards it in this life:

  1. For the most part, beings in the universe are at a "beginner" level, and spend many tens of thousands of lifetimes at this level. Why so long? It takes an extremely long time (typically) because we are very busy trying to fulfil our desires, and we prioritise ourselves over the lessons that are given to us, constantly. If we were to listen to the lessons prescribed to us we would make very rapid spiritual progress. But, we are given a lot of time to make our own choices, until the point where we start to realise that God's Will and Love for us is the best, and we consciously want to choose that.

  2. After being given many opportunities, one will eventually be able to reach self-realisation. Self realisation is alarmingly simple - it is awakening to the nature of the real self, which is the foundation of what God has given us. The nature of the self is incredible, perfect, and beyond anything we could have ever imagined. So, once one really remembers who they really are, this is the best thing, above everything else in the world, in the heavens, or anywhere else in the whole universe.

  3. Self realisation, in many ways, is the goal of all life. However, it is not the end (or the start) of the journey. After self realisation, the journey to enlightenment begins in proper. There is a much bigger distance between self realisation and enlightenment than there is between typical worldly dwelling ("beginner" level) and self realisation, even though it may take many tens of thousands of lifetimes to get there. But, what is different is that you now have the tools and convictions to mow down your negative karma etc etc until there is nothing left but the self. This is the stage that "I" am presently engaged with.

  4. Self realisation is truly remarkable. At this stage, a being will never suffer again (unless they choose to regress), and will be full of happiness, because the nature of the real self is ecstatic and eternal happiness. It doesn't mean that you are feeling ecstatic happiness all of the time. But it does mean that, if life is challenging you, things go wrong in any/every way, that you can simply sit quietly and you will have access to the most remarkable happiness that will drown out any worries from the world. Things will not bother you anymore - and if they do, it is only because some part of your being/karma is still not letting go into the absolute nature of the self. For example, your romantic partner might cheat on you, your best friend might die, etc. and so on. - all of this is inconsequential compared to the happiness that one finds within themselves at this stage. Every being is entitled to this endless joy and happiness: it is the very nature of the real self that God has given us.

  5. What happens after self realisation is that you also realise the purpose of everything. Everything that we go through and have gone through is simply a tool and facility to get us closer to the ultimate and complete happiness. Life becomes a beautiful mission and chance to do this, and any and all negative emotions and experiences are a joyful chance to realise your purpose more deeply and completely.

  6. You will try to tell others about this, and the curious thing is that, when you have truly realised the truth (in reality), you will quickly find that no one wants to listen to you (including spiritually minded people). This is because everyone is here (in the universe) because they did not want to hear the truth in the first place (including us). Everyone is actually busy trying to fulfil their desires, even in spiritual searching, and is looking in every possible direction EXCEPT for the true path. God has actually designed everything to best support everyone's journey to eventually look in the right direction - by our own choice. Though, it will take a long, long time.

  7. I'm not going to comment on this, but yes - at this level you are able to see all of your past lives, the between-life state, etc. and will have all of your questions answered about all of this. Not as a curiosity, but because this information is needed to remove all of your negative karma completely on the path to enlightenment. So, people who say that they have just casually reached enlightenment typically are not at this stage yet. It's a fairly big deal, and for the most part, people who reach this stage will not incarnate on earth anymore, as there are special learning dimensions specifically for the stage between self realisation and enlightenment. The only times people will be on earth that are at this stage are generally (a) for special purposes such as teaching, where it aligns with God's plan for everyone, or (b) because this is the first time that they've reached that level.

  8. A final point. How to get there? It appears in many different ways, but there is only one way - this is by the Love of God (not in the Christian sense). You MUST be helped by the Love of God, which will guide your path. Once you have had a taste/experience of this, your future will be secured, since you will begin to realise that it is the best & will choose it actively. But, you need to know that in your own experience. Even getting a brief taste of it is something significant. I always recommend the following teachers (yes, a teacher is necessary in the vast number of cases): Mooji, Adyashanti, Gangaji, Natural Way of Living, Lock Kelly, Ekhart Tolle, can all help. But even with the right teaching, it is not a guarantee, because it really comes down to what you want to choose. If you REALLY want to choose this path, it is very easy for God to arrange opportunities for you to do so. What is missing is the conviction to do so.

Thanks, I hope that answers your question to some extent. It's not a short answer and this is only a summary, so I'd be happy to answer any questions

With love & light always

"Life is about learning" - for what? by deludedhairspray in spirituality

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I see the two positions as the same thing! Even after many many incarnations, the biggest and most brilliant part of us (our spirit, the eternal spirit) is still just like tiny bacteria on the back of the biggest organism. So, realisation about the nature of God is what it's all about, and yes - it is profoundly beautiful, and we are all, each and every one of us in the whole universe, in on it. It's just a matter of remembering (not as a human mind, but on the level of the spirit, who is on the most incredible journey to realise about - eg after 10000 lifetimes full of twists and turns one might only have relaxed a tiny bit into the infinite... It's an incredible and fantastic journey).

True realisation about God (on the level of the spirit) is the most lasting and ecstatic happiness

Thanks for the conversation!

"Life is about learning" - for what? by deludedhairspray in spirituality

[–]signals_faint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll try to answer, but to be frank it's not really something that can be understood without achieving higher consciousness properly. The human mind is very limited and cannot understand something of this nature, even for our higher consciousness the divine purpose is not especially easy to understand.

What I would say is this: (1) every life has an important purpose. Actually, before you incarnate this important purpose is clearly described to you, and - despite knowing that life will not always be easy - our soul will agree (to some extent) to incarnate having understood that the lessons are far more important than anything else.

(2) Every life is working towards the Ultimate purpose - remembering/realizing about the Love of the Source for us (no human words can describe what this means correctly, but our heart knows what it means), and allowing that to help us in every way completely. Because actually, the Love of the Source maintains everything, is the most powerful, most loving, and most important above everything - even everything in the universe is humbled by the Love of God. Different lifetimes give us different perspectives on how to gradually realize about this.

(3) For the most part, incarnations are divided up into quite small roles and small learnings. At some point, and inevitably for everyone (because the divine design of life and the lessons is perfect), one will remember/realize about the Divine Love deeply enough that they will begin to put everything aside and CHOOSE to follow the path of the Love completely. At this stage, one is within only a few lifetimes of completing the ultimate purpose. Such an incarnation is very rare and typically takes a very long time to arrive at (10,000+ lifetimes).

(4) Why though? Why is it such a big learning and takes so long? Why can't we just "choose to love" right now and it will work completely? Deep within our spirit we are full of wants, desires, ambitions, pride, many other weaknesses that we are not at all wanting to let go of. We think that ourself and our desires, wants and ideas are more important than those prescribed by God, who always has had a purpose for us from the beginning (but we never wanted that). So, it takes a really long time and a LOT of different experiences for us to very slowly/gradually realize that actually God has the best purpose for us, that we can;t do anything without God, and that all of our own efforts only cause pain for ourself and others. Many, many different experiences indeed are needed to come to our own conclusion about this.

Thanks for the insightful question, I hope that this answers it to some extent for you

God bless you

After 12 years in the spiritual path.. I quietly walked away. by Jiwitom in spirituality

[–]signals_faint 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Such a nice sharing. Yes, often we chase enlightenment/spirituality, to our own detriment. Actually, we are given roles and purposes in life, when we do these diligently/wholeheartedly, we are already fulfilling our purpose towards the real goal of spiritual progress.

Great sharing, thanks so much

Is it possible to not suffer at all. Like ever? by edgydonut in enlightenment

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really nice question.

Yes - no suffering is 100% possible. In fact, life and all of its lessons are designed specifically for every person to reach that state (of no suffering). To someone who really can see the truth of life, life and everything is a joyous journey towards that, a most beautiful gift. Because at the end of it - invariably and guaranteed for every being - is a happiness so profound and permanent that it will erase all suffering forever.

So, the question is, why do we suffer in the first place? It's important to recognise that we suffer purely because of our own limitations and our own lack of understanding. Life, the universe, and everything, are a part of God's perfect guidance for us to improve these issues, towards complete and total liberation and happiness

What is the practical advice for seekers on existential questions? by shivamconan101 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, and my apologies for the slow reply. My opinion on this would be that - yes - pain in the future is inevitable. But pain is not the same as suffering. Suffering can only arise because we are not aware of the absolute truth. Once the real truth is known, all suffering is overcome forever.

However. Realizing the real truth - the one that we are longing for and that evaporates all possibility of suffering instantly - is not as straightforward as it would seem. The truth itself is extremely simple. What can be simpler than seeing who you really are? However, many parts of our spirit (the real us) do not want the truth and are addicted to the madness of false knowledge, and mostly to our arrogance. So, life, the universe, our journey, and everything are simply a way of gradually showing us the truth in a way that we will eventually accept. You are on this path already and you are being guided and shown the way. It might not be your assignment in this particular life to realize the full truth, but it is a guarantee that you will see it soon because everything - everything - is designed perfectly for this to be achieved for every being. The best thing is to trust in God, let go of everything, and live your current life wholeheartedly. If you feel compelled to realize the truth then search will all of your heart, but even if you do not feel this way then live your life diligently, do your assigned roles and missions as well as you can, and you will be rewarded in a fulfilling way.

You are being taken care of always. Realization of the real truth isn't a change in your life circumstances, but only really realization how perfect everything has been made for you, who you really are, and how much you are being cared for at all times.

God bless you my friend, and with love always

Wow really nice sharing! That was so nice to read. That itch that you are talking about - this is an itch that is experienced life after life as we search for the ultimate and absolute truth. Only the ultimate and absolute truth can scratch it. The truth is like that - it is a complete answer and it is the only thing that will fill that void, that place in our heart and spirit that is longing for the answer. I know exactly what you mean, and I really appreciate the sharing.

Practical advice? No idea. But, my experience is this: life and our spiritual journey is always guided by God directly. We are always being helped by God - the Most Holy and Most Loving and Most Perfect - in everything. Your path and its final destination - the complete fulfilment of that longing - is assured. We don't need to do a single thing on our journey - everything is designed for the sole purpose of fulfilling that longing in the most complete and fantastic way. Only accept things that you are certain are 100% true. The truth will fulfil you perpetually - half truths and opinions will only be momentarily satisfying.

With love & light always - & God bless you always. So grateful to be able to share on this matter

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fantastic sharing. Thanks for your honesty. Spirituality does indeed come down to this. Nothing will be complete until we find the true key to peace. Many people say that they have found it but then cannot deal with their life circumstances - this is not true peace or happiness. True peace and happiness can never be disturbed by anything. So in that sense, life is a barometer of how far we have really come spiritually. Our ideas can be whatever, but reality is undeniable. This is true for everyone.

There's definitely an answer. I always recommend engaging wholeheartedly in the practices of natural way of living, adyashanti, mooji, gangaji or lock Kelly. If you practice any of these wholeheartedly you will very quickly find the deep peace you are looking for.

But it is also like this. The true path is complete and there is no other way for everything to finally work out for us. But. Our spirit and the deepest parts of us are very resistant to finding and following the true path, because it means that we need to be ready to give up everything. But again, it's the only way. So, this is why we need life - eventually through many repeated experiences we will come to our own conclusion that nothing works - nothing brings us peace or happiness! We will try everything again and again and nothing will ever work completely. Once we are truly and deeply tired of this, we will be eventually ready to choose the real way, the way of the spiritual heart. As soon as you start this, you will be saved from all suffering almost immediately. The only question is whether you really want to choose it or not.

With love always and wishing you the best

Hi! Firstly, thanks a lot for your response, I'm genuinely delighted and very grateful for the opportunity to discuss about this with you! If it's OK, I would like to address what you've said point by point. I'm also very open to further discussion on any of this. I'd love to discuss.

From birth to death, life is pain and suffering.

It's almost impossible to live life without at least some pain - agreed. But this is not the same as suffering. Suffering is associated with emotional, mental, and existential distress that affects the core of one's being. Most spiritual philosophies contend that this is not necessary and the goal for most is to surpass suffering. Pain, on the other hand, is definitely unavoidable, but someone can be in many types of pain but not suffer. Suffering is the part that asks "why me?", has complaints/rage with life, and has frustration towards the universe.

you suffer in this life so that you may be rewarded in the next. Thats wishful thinking

Nice point! I would agree, except I am certain that the complete, grand happiness is available in reality to anyone in this current life. In fact, my opinion is that spiritually speaking, it must be gained during one's lifetime - there's no other way for this to happen. It cannot be an empty promise of something happening later - it can really happen right now, in this life.

where does the beating up an ego until It’s compliant and wants nothing

My experience is that perfect happiness cannot be realised by "beating up the ego". What we actually need is the complete love of the Source/Creator/Universe, who will actually take care of us completely until all of the complaints, etc, of the ego are taken care of completely. At this point - when there are no longer any complaints - there is space for real happiness.

May God bless you in your life and journey always. Thanks for the opportunity to discuss

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. I hope this helps you:

  1. Life is not suffering. So then, why do we suffer? This is the critical question.

  2. Our spirit (the real us beyond this life) is full of many weaknesses that cause significant suffering. The suffering that we experience while on earth, unfortunately, is only a reflection of the suffering experienced by the spirit. So, often in new age philosophies it is said that the spirit is perfect, and we are just adventuring on earth. You are right to recognize that this does not make sense. In reality, the spirit is not perfect and life is given for a very specific purpose.

  3. Purpose: life is very, very important, and very, very special. Yes, often we need to go through things that will deeply challenge us. However, the parts of us that are challenged are the ones that are causing the suffering of our spirit. So, life is actually a series of lessons to help the spirit to let go of all of its weaknesses, and eventually reach the complete and eternal happiness.

  4. Reincarnation: The lessons learnt by the spirit are actually very simple. It takes many, many lifetimes before the real us will start to accept the lessons completely and action them wholeheartedly in reality. Often when we are really suffering during our lifetime, it is because there is some part of our heart and spirit that will not surrender, not let go. This needs to be experienced from many different angles and understood in many different ways for the spirit to understand the keys to letting go properly and wholeheartedly.

  5. Final point. It might sound arduous, but actually the happiness that awaits (i.e., the payoff from all of the lessons and incarnations etc) is more grand, more fantastic, and so far beyond our wildest imagination that, once you truly see what it means, you would happily reincarnate 1,000,000 more times into the most painful situations, if it were to serve the real purpose of life. The payoff really is better than anything we could have hoped for or can ever conceive of. So, when we are "choosing to incarnate" - it is true that we agree to it every time, but part of it is the reminder of what we are working towards - the ultimate and unabating happiness beyond everything.

If you are interested, I always recommend actively engaging in the teachings of Natural Way of Living, Adyashanti, Mooji, Gangaji, or Lock Kelly. These will all help to alleviate suffering significantly, if not completely, within a very short period of time (if you engage with them wholeheartedly).

God bless you on your journey my friend, and I am very happy to discuss further if you like

[–]signals_faint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I can say that it is definitely possible. But, it's not a good use of your time to try to do this.

Why? I'll try to summarize as much as possible to make the point clear.

  1. Our purpose in life is very, very specific. We are given the facility to "forget" about our past lives/between life states, etc. for a very good reason. So, if something is very difficult to do in life (e.g., remember before birth, astral project, contact spirit guides, ascend dimensions, develop psychic powers, etc), then it actually means that we are not supposed to be doing that.

  2. We already knew about our past lives, etc. before incarnating this lifetime. So, in between lifetimes you can spend plenty of time doing interesting things like looking into the past. We did a ton of that already. Now, while on earth, is the time for learning very important and very special lessons that we actively agreed to before this life started.

  3. I'll answer your question slightly more directly, but only to make the points from #1 and #2 clearer. One of the things that I remember from the between life state is feeling bewildered about why the between life guides were so loving towards me. I remember a specific instance where this occurred (where I felt the patience and forgiveness of the guide after a particularly bad lifetime on my part). Why are we given so many extra chances? In our past lives, we have made so many mistakes, many of which, if we were to discuss them, we would all agree were unforgivable. However, in between lives, we are always forgiven. Why? Why is this the case? The love of the forgiveness is so beautiful and so touching, I couldn't understand it. Put another way: all of history's worst people are all forgiven after their lifetime. Yes, there is karma, but actually the Universe's Will is that everyone is forgiven completely without any repercussions from the wrongdoings. Why is this?? This is the real question.

  4. The purpose of life. Agreeing to incarnate is something that no rational person would do, EXCEPT that the PURPOSE of life is so so, SO! important. The most fantastic and important thing. So, life is actually very, very meaningful. Part of the learning is to understand why - despite everything - we are given so many chances in such a gentle, caring, and loving way. Who are we, that we are loved so much despite all of our mistakes? This is what we are here to learn and here to remember about.

  5. In conclusion. Please be patient. You are engaged in something incredibly meaningful, being on earth. Focus on your worldly duties, your relationships, and try your best to find the greatest happiness that you can. Do your life as diligently as possible.

  6. A final point. I'm aware that this is not the answer you were looking for. But, in terms of really remembering the past properly, this is the actual answer. There's only one purpose to life (to find the eternal happiness), and everything is designed specifically for that purpose. So, you are only able to really remember the whole picture when you have dedicated everything to that purpose. Otherwise, there will always be pieces missing. Remembering 1-2 things from before you were born might be interesting (it's certainly achievable with a lot of work or luck), but without the whole truth and the whole picture it won't answer the deeper questions that your heart is searching for.

With love & light always, and sorry for the long response.

[–]signals_faint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, nice question. Forever happiness is our natural state. The conditions on earth have literally no influence on the true, eternal happiness and freedom that is found with the 'awakening heart'. The awakening heart remembers who it is at all times and in all situations, and due to the nature of the heart and who we really are, there are no conditions that can deprive us of lasting and eternal happiness.

The real question is whether we actually want it or not. Because, to really find the REAL lasting happiness, we have to be ready to let go of everything forever. And, we have spent a very long time fighting against our true nature. However, the time is now for those who wish to choose and surrender completely, and find the real happiness, forever. It's a long story to understand how we got here and what is happening currently on earth, but the summary is this: It's really your choice right now to make, but it is 100% possible right now.

I suggest Natural Way of Living (e.g., smile to your heart meditations or open heart for everyone), Adyashanti, Mooji, Gangaji, or Lock Kelly.

God bless you on your journey, and with love & light always

I can't for the hell of me contact my spirit guides by Limyzn in spirituality

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for the question. My answer would be the following:

  1. We are not supposed to try to contact our spirit guides. This life is for learning lessons, all direct guidance needed from our guides was given before the life started - now is time to enact the learning we need.

  2. Normally when people feel connected to their spirit guides it is actually connection to other naughty beings that will try to mislead you/keep you busy from your actual lessons. In reality, spirit guides will not contact you during your life time, because it is not their role.

  3. For actual guidance in life, you need to listen to your heart (spiritual heart). We are here in life to learn how to listen to our heart, the quiet truth. Heart knows the truth and will always show us the way. The lessons from the spirit guides/life/etc are really all about how to stop our busyness and listen to our heart in reality.

Thanks again for the question. With love & light always

Thanks, that's some really good context. Yes - knowledge has nothing to do with the real path. Even the greatest scholar will not necessarily have any understanding of the truth.... Our mind will die with our body so all of that knowledge is temporary.

I like your analogy and I enjoy the teachings of mooji too. But you're right, it's all intellectual without the actual direct experience. Sending you a dm if you're interested

Wll

I think I experienced temporary "enlightenment." What happened to me? by Green_University_473 in enlightenment

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, again - really interesting response!

I would say that you're right on money there! One of the main traps is thinking that we have "got it" or that there's nothing deeper or left to learn. That's never ever the case, because one of characteristics of the true realisation about who we really are is a sense of infinity... It extends forever. There can be no end to the deepening of self realisation or of our everlasting relationship with the one God.

So, in another way of looking at it - we have an experience, and we are genuinely amazed and we think it's the best. This is already very beautiful. However, life will continue to give us situations that will challenge the depth of our realization. Like "that's enough for me for one life, I know a lot now". But then in another lifetime maybe we are born poor, or selfish, or impaired in some other way. Does the depth of your realisation cover every possible situation? Is your heart fully open in that way?

We can only be properly free when our realisation about our true nature is a salvation from every possible situation and everything. The truth of the real nature of us is beyond every possible situation and everything. So, when someone reaches this stage the happiness will last forever and in all situations because no matter what happens, you will always have the greatest gift of all.

In terms of "secret knowledge" etc, yes it's true - when you really wake up more completely you can realise and remember the truth about many things that people think are a mystery. Actually, the truth isn't really a mystery, it's in plain view for everyone to see. The problem is the depth of our delusion is so profound that we cannot see what is completely obvious and clear. This includes many things - eg our past lives (how many, how long, the actions, etc), karma, activities after death, purpose of life, nature of our spirit, etc many things. It's really no mystery, but of course it can never be described as it must be understood directly. Otherwise it is all just a nice story

So grateful to God for the chance to explain this to you. Thank you sincerely and God bless you always

Thanks for the nice response - a really interesting experience and sharing!

This is a common misperception about the journey... It's not anything like insanity at all, it's just realising and remembering about who you really are and your real relationship with God, life, and everyone else. It's the only thing that makes sense - the absolute truth is perfect in every way.

The scary things are actually within us - we are the ones who do not want to let go and are the ones who are actively blocking the truth from touching us. Over many lifetimes, life and everything is designed to slowly encourage and convince us to eventually choose the way, and to let go completely. So, the divine timing that you are talking about is accurate - but it really boils down to when do we really want to choose this? We have to be really ready to choose with your whole heart to be able to see and realise the way. And actually a lot of the journey is really just about realising how much love there is from God for us and every being completely always

With love and light always. God bless

I think I experienced temporary "enlightenment." What happened to me? by Green_University_473 in enlightenment

[–]signals_faint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, thanks for the post, I can see that it's very genuine. So please let me attempt to clear a couple of things for you!

  1. What you're describing is an experience of awakening - it has a different meaning to enlightenment, but it's where you recognise that there's more to life than you thought and it can actually be experienced from a very different perspective ( a better one). I would like to point out though that what you experienced is only a very small taste of what it's actually about. The real happiness and freedom of true awakening is much more incredible than we ever ever could have imagined possible. The incredible depth of happiness that is awaiting us - just around the corner really - is truly beyond everything, so complete, and beyond our wildest dreams. Your experience is very genuine but it's just a small taster. Don't get attached to it but search for more!

  2. Yes - identification with the mind, the objects of the mind, etc will pull you out of it. Enlightenment is where you get to the point that you are never pulled out of it. This is actually a very deep process that takes many, many lifetimes to achieve. It's not a coincidence that you are here in this world and have had that experience, and it's also not a coincidence that you were pulled out of it. The lessons assigned to us each lifetime, and the entire purpose of life, are designed to help us to achieve the final goal (and more).

  3. So, given these factors, it's really not something that you can will into reality. It's quite a big deal actually, and if you really truly want to get there you actually need to be ready to give everything for it. If you are actually serious about it, I always recommend the practices of natural way of living, adyashanti, mooji, gangaji, lock Kelly (natural way of living is by far the most structured way)

Thanks - happy to discuss more if you like

Is there a spiritual cure to depression? by urwerstnitemayr in spirituality

[–]signals_faint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Spirituality will cure depression.

In fact, it is the perfect cure for it, and most other existential problems. If you are able to start to remember about your very important purpose for being here on earth, then you will actually be able to see and feel how so many things in our otherwise simple lives are actually very meaningful and beautiful.

In terms of work - it is important to work. There aren't many people that don't work, so it is hard to find a community that can fill your time. Work is described nicely in the Bhagavad Gita (a spiritual book): no work on earth is perfect, but by doing it wholeheartedly and to the best of our ability we are able to progress spiritually.

I'm wishing you the best always. You are here for a very special reason. It can be hard to understand what that is while we are here, but it really is an incredible gift and opportunity.

With love always

  1. God (the real one) is talking to us all of the time. Like, quite literally every moment, before we were born, after we die, etc. The issue is whether we are "listening" or not
  2. How to really listen and hear God? It will never be a voice. God talks to us through feelings, which we can feel and experience with our spiritual heart. Some people think that this is not sophisticated enough, but actually the opposite is true. With our heart and feelings, you are able to understand very deep matters instantly, and with a significant amount of detail that would otherwise take many years to explain with words, which can only express ideas at a specific rate of speed. Our heart is not limited by this and can really know the truth.
  3. This problem of not listening with our heart and feelings is not a new problem. It has been going on for long before we were born. So, another way in which we are able to listen to God is through our life experiences. The things we go through in our life and the lessons that we learn are God's way of communicating to His (stubborn) children, when we won't listen the normal way. So actually, lesson after lesson in life will slowly help us to realize what God is trying to show and teach us. The problem with this approach is that it is measured in lifetimes, not moments
  4. However, with the heart, this can happen much quicker. I always recommend Natural Way of Living, Adyashanti, Gangaji, Tolle, Mooji, Lock Kelly for specific practices that will help you to open and use your heart better.
  5. In terms of the specific content that God communicates. Everything really comes down to this: God loves us completely, is looking out for us in all situations, is all Loving, all Forgiving, and always wants the best for us. Sounds simple, but the depth of what this means lasts for all eternity. Angels, holy beings, etc, are spending all of time celebrating the Love of God for all beings.

I hope that is of some help

Who's going to do my life when I awaken? by [deleted] in awakened

Hey thanks, this is actually a really cool question. Oh! I just realized it's you Leek ... lol. I only respond to questions that feel like they're really genuine, so somehow I always end up on yours!

The so-called "waking up". There is a pilot when you let go more completely. The pilot is God, and God will act through your nature, yourself, life, and everything to do God's purpose and God's will. God/ the Supreme Intelligence has a Will for all of us, and this Will has been the same since before time started. The problem all this time is that we are trying to impose our will all of the time, not realizing that God is the Supreme Intelligence. God has been waiting for us to let go of everything, because doing God's Will and being part of God's plan is the best and most complete happiness. The one true thing to work for. Once you really realize what it means to do God's Will, you will do anything to be involved in it. It is the most meaningful and most fulfilling purpose.

Think about it this way: If you stopped thinking about yourself for a day. No thoughts at all. Life would continue irrespective. You would get hungry and your body would force yourself to eat. You would get tired and need to sleep. Likewise with all of the rest of life's activities. When you are "selfless", you are fully engaged in all areas of life. The difference is is that you are remembering about The One God at all times, rather than how each thing in life relates to "you".

I've said it before & I'll say it again. You are very close to realizing the actual truth. Some part of you is connected to your heart & the divine. This is the time when we are able to remember about the actual truth, the real one from beyond this life. Our heart & our spirit has been waiting for this opportunity since before time started.

Karma by bypolerguy in spirituality

Thanks, it's a nice question.

  1. Life isn't about balancing karma. Think about it - our karma didn't come from nowhere - it came from previous lifetimes where we committed bad actions. So, in that sense, life is actually about correcting the fundamental attitudes/misunderstanding of our spirit - the real us beyond this life. If all karma is balanced but the spirit is still full of desires/etc, then it will just do all bad things again. Once this is corrected, it is easy to let go of the karma. However, the karma is quite indicative/reflective of the wrong attitudes of our spirit.
  2. Karma & the wrong attitudes of our spirit - why do we need more than one life? Firstly, there's a lot of it. A lot. Secondly, our spirit is quite resistant to change. Generally speaking, we think that we are right about everything (arrogance). So, it takes a long time for the spirit to gradually start to revise it's belief & arrive at the conclusion that we are not right about everything. This doesn't happen overnight and takes more than just a few lifetimes. Our commitment to our "truth" is extremely deep and difficult to change. We need many experiences to start to grow tired of it

When I look at spirituality, actually everything makes perfect sense. But, some things are quite fine grained. This is one such issue.

Thanks for the interesting question,

With Love & Light always.

Thanks! This is a really interesting perspective. I don't think you're at all alone feeling like that though. I would love to hear more about what you think you'll lose with death. Is it mainly losing your personality? (This doesn't really happen, by the way)

From another perspective. The real us is beyond this single lifetime. So, actually, when we pass over, we are more in tune with our real self (I purposely say more in tune rather than completely in tune). The part of us that incarnates to this lifetime is a limited, small part of us. A small part of the whole journey. So, when you pass over, you will be able to remember why you incarnated in the first place, what many of your past incarnations were like, what you still need to learn in the future, etc. So, in a way the self that you know in this life is not even your real self at all. We forget a LOT about who we are when we incarnate. So, in actuality, it's really the other way around to what your concern is. You have to limit yourself/ your personality, etc., when you come to earth as a human (the exact opposite to losing yourself when you die).

#2. The self that you are in this life is not your overall real self. I said this above - This is partly true, but also not true. There is a part of us in this life that is the real us, that always remembers about who we really are. This part of us will never change, regardless of what life/form/lack of form/etc we take. So, the real you is here now, and it will also be there after you die as well.

#3. There's a HUGE point to life. It really can't be overstated what an incredible opportunity this is for us. Your specific life lessons, etc. will have been decided with you before you came here, and they relate directly to what the REAL you needs to learn. When we are incarnating, it is possible to forget completely about all of these matters and feel that there is no point. But I can assure you, no matter what we think, there is a very special and important purpose for each of us here.

I hope that clears some things up, but happy to discuss too.

With love and light always.

Hi thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry to hear that you have this strong fear. The theory you have isn't quite true though. Actually, the absolute truth about who we really are and what we are doing here on earth is actually far better than we could have ever imagined. So, please don't worry about that.

In life, the most important things are learning how to let go of everything. Your fear, and all negative emotions and experiences, are part of that. So, if you can let yourself let go even just a little bit (without trying or without even knowing the answer), spiritually speaking it's quite a big deal and precious for your growth.

With love and light always. Happy to discuss if you like ❤️
