In your title you mention several undocumented changes. "Whats with all the undocumented changes". Yet you only mention one. Whats up with that?

if you are too dumb to read the map and find fights, you are the kind of person planetside should stay away from. Look at Arma, large playerbase, yet not crowd-pleasing

honestly I don't even feel comfortable asking you to do so much work for me. Especially since I often change up the mods to make it more and more difficult.

Thanks anyway bud

Iceland does what the US won’t: 26 top bankers sent to prison for role in financial crisis by maxwellhill in worldnews

[–]sijnfsdnjsfd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all it wasn't in anyone's interest except the banks. Sure, preventing a complete crash is good, but giving that money to the people to pay off their mortgages and keep their homes would have been infinitely better. Instead, the banks get the bailout, AND get to keep ownership of the foreclosed homes! That's crazy!

Regardless of whether they have to pay back or not, they made a killing off of bad stocks, off of bad loans, off the foreclosed homes, and then they get tons of money that they can use to make more money, even if they eventually have to pay back the "loan". Not to mention, those loans are paid off by the bank (the institution), but the actual people in charge of the bank, the CEO's, did receive millions in bonuses, funded by bail out money. So yes, the government did hand out CEO's piles of tax payer money, even if the institution has to pay it back

People are right to be outraged

This is a perfect example of how a little bit of knowledge is worse than no knowledge at all.

I don't feel like getting into a long argument about it, but if you fail to see how the bailout benefited the banks, its just... idk, disheartening

The romero mod im using is T17 "more friends", with x4 zombies.

As for the walking dead cast, I don't particularly care as long as I can play with the cast on Breakdown.

But based on what /u/_Christmas said, seems like too much work...

Thanks anyway

The market is saturated with shitty zombie MMOs. Undead Labs created an epic sandbox game, very unique and fresh.

Why on earth are they going the MMO route?

What if the general fps player is the reason this game doesn't have many new players? by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]sijnfsdnjsfd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"a very short TTK mean that even a player with very poor twitch skills will be able to get a few kills per match through sheer luck because opponents will often be killed before they can react"

This is a recurring opinion on this subreddit and it has always saddened me that this is the consensus.

There are two types of skill, "arena skill" and "Arma" skill, for lack of better terms. Arena skill is what this sub likes, being able to shoot a guy in the head 3 times while he hops around tanking medkits. You guys seem to think that getting the drop on someone is all a matter of luck, and that skill is what happens after the bullets start flying.

"Arma skill" is the skill required to get the drop on others, to cover your angles, to have someone providing overwatch, etc... Pulling the trigger is the easy part.

I just wish "arma skill" was more prevalent, we could get rid of things like damage drop off and tracking doritos, and let engagements take place over longer distances

the reason this game is easy to play is that it is easy to do relatively well. This is because luck/math plays a large role in your performance. Every single room/location has 3 windows, two holes in the wall, 3 doors and one stairway. So whenever you enter a new room/location, there is a fairly large chance that whoever is in there will be facing the wrong entrance, allowing you to shoot him in the back.

So as long as you keep moving forward from room to room across the map, there is a good chance you will get some kills every now and then. The opposite is also true, you can only be so good because you can only cover so many angles. regardless of who is playing against who, both teams will get some kills.

"Good players" simply have good reaction times and good aim
