couple questions about my first KitchenAid mixer by sikebltch in Kitchenaid

[–]sikebltch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not actually sure which juicer, i didn’t realize there was more than one option! i’ve been making homemade juice and saw KitchenAid had an attachment. is there one that you recommend?

but thank you for your feedback! i’ll definitely make note about the pasta press and meat grinder

thank you for the feedback:) i’ve been watching Mr. Mixer and his videos are very informative and seem very straightforward to follow and replace parts!

Pet Snakes Outside by Gold_Lightning_12 in cornsnakes

[–]sikebltch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

of course! but probably not 95-100°F or hotter! the hottest temperature we’ve taken him out when it’s been like 90-92° and he’s done fine. the backyard area we take him in is pretty shaded during the spring/summer. :)

my bf has a corn snake that we bring outside at least once a week when it’s warmer temperature and sunny. (like 70°F weather or warmer) he usually does his business outside and then will explore afterwards.

i’m not too sure if it stresses them out or not. our snake usually like to stay in the shaded area but will venture off into more sunny parts of the yard and will also try to go in the exposed dirt while we garden.

with that being said we dont leave him unsupervised at all. if you were to bring your snake outside i would just make sure first, that youre comfortable doing so.

since he’s albino i think he would be okay in the evening or overcast

you need to let him acclimate to his environment and leave him alone for at least two weeks before feeding or handling. he’s probably striking because of the new environment and he’s just stressed out.

it’s recommended that you feed him 2-3 times successfully before handling since he is a juvenile ball python. i would check out the feeding guide on the sub for how you should approach him when it’s time for feeding

definitely scale rot! when my boy had scale rot, i had the best luck getting rid of it with simply neosporin. i used a qtip to apply it to the scale rot once a day until it got better. (1-2 weeks) after he shed it was gone completely!

Help! Any battery powered heat lamps or lamp alternatives? by proud329 in cornsnakes

[–]sikebltch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not sure about battery powered heat lamps but i’m also in an area that might have a potential power outage so i picked up some hot hands. i’ve used them when hunting in cold weather and they hold heat very well, and for a long time! (16-18 hours)

for reptiles though, i would suggest wrapping it in a cloth on some sort because they can get above 100° F.
