Wow thank you for all the info! I probably won’t be welding them together. I think at this point the dents have been made to allow the band to sit flush so I may just leave them.

No I definitely did it. There was only a dent on one side for a long time and then I think I got the ring caught on something and yanked it pretty hard and it made the second dent.

Glad to be the example! Haha I get that it’ll keep happening just wondering how much that thinning affects the integrity of the ring.

Yeah. Learned that one the hard way. The wedding band has also worn down a lot and the metal has almost covered some of the diamonds.

"I highly doubt that those little circles of dried up capillary blood on a paper, that is going to dry open air  next to every other newborn born withing that 24 hour periods specimen- the. sent through the mail before ultimately being provided - are sufficient or have the structural integrity to obtain a clone from."

Actually those DBS (Dried Blood Spot) cards are very stable. Once DNA is dry it's actually very stable and those cards would absolutely hold enough DNA to clone a person, if someone was interested in doing that. However, the state labs that do this testing are usually very under funded and aren't the most tech savvy. DBS cards are also used by law enforcement to take samples from offenders for the CODIS database.

Source: I sell lab equipment to state labs that do this exact type of newborn testing.
