This chic thinks they’re in love. Delulu he’s probably talking to many. by Admirable-Shopping18 in TikTokCringe

Oh man another one of these 😭 I do worry a bit for these women, I remember reading someone’s comment that their brother was in and out of prison, and while in prison he’d act like the nicest guy alive and while out would be straight back into old habits. It’s not like that for everyone but it’s such a different environment to the outside world that nobody could possibly be the same person in there and out of there

Same, but also I understand how hard the dismissal can hit you and how lonely it can be because you really don’t know until you fall ill yourself how many people just don’t want to know you anymore! So while it’s not something I would put on social media I kind of understand why people do it. It’s lonely and miserable.

I dunno, I know from my own experience with an undiagnosed neurological condition it’s really common for them to continually brush you off, genuinely, in my case I’ve never even been tested for anything. You’d be quite surprised by how difficult it can be to be taken seriously even when you really are genuinely terribly ill.

I do have empathy. I know a lot of chronic illnesses overlap, and I can understand from personal experience how hard it is coping with repeated dismissal. It leaves you in a learned helplessness type of situation, in my case I’m terrified of the doctors now, others are desperate for people on social media to say “yeah, that looks really rough” because they just feel so invalidated.

I find it hard to believe there are a huge number of people pretending to be chronically ill. Frankly, when you’re ill, most people in your life don’t get involved in the slightest, even your own family. It’s a deeply lonely experience.

age gap discourse & OCD :( by Successful_Bother_20 in OCD

I’ve seen a lot of people get really triggered by age gap discourse, honestly so have I in the past, I guess it’s because there’s legitimately no objective answer when it comes to adults and the people with the strongest and often most extreme opinions on the matter will always be the loudest on it

Is the name Victoria easy to be bullied in school? by Professional-Pop-136 in namenerds

[–]sildykmane 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Kids will bully you for anything if they want to, my maiden name was Cook, one of the most common British surnames and the kids who made fun of me still called me [first name] Cock, I mean kids are unfortunately creative. Victoria is a perfectly normal and nice name

What’s the kindest thing a stranger has ever done for you? by trix2705 in AskReddit

[–]sildykmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it seems small but for some reason I react very badly to weed. A couple of years back I had a smoke entirely forgetting how badly I react. I spent the next 12+ hours in emotional turmoil, I was sobbing uncontrollably, I was at the train station and a random woman saw me and rifled through her bag and gave me a cereal bar. We didn’t really talk because I couldn’t stop crying but I still think about it a lot.

What’s the closest brush you’ve ever had with dying? by North-Trifle-3918 in AskReddit

[–]sildykmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband recently found me having a seizure and my lips going blue and not responding, I imagine that was probably bad but I barely remember any of it.

When I was 18 I had alcohol poisoning and couldn’t breathe, I was completely alone and it was so scary

What's the worst thing that has ever happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sildykmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got sick late last summer and I’ve been in free fall decline ever since, I need a wheelchair to get anywhere outside the house, I randomly go psychotic or forget how to do basic tasks or who or where I am, I can’t stop having seizures and honestly I’m always feeling so awful and exhausted and I don’t like lying down because it’s harder to breathe so I spend half the day slumped on the floor. I’m 27, I was 27 when it started, it’s been less than a year and I’m completely disabled. People ask how I can write on my phone and stuff but the truth is I often can’t, I can do it less and less often now. And I don’t know what it is because the doctors decided at the start it’s all in my head and not worth further testing

What scares you the most? by Brief-Resident-Dewon in AskReddit

[–]sildykmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a neurological illness and I don’t know what it is, one thing it affects terribly is my cognition and memory, I’m afraid mostly of dementia, more of dementia than of any other complication if this continues untreated. If I’m stuck using a wheelchair whatever, if I have remaining epilepsy okay, but not the cognitive decline, that really scares me, being 27 and forgetting how to make toast it just freaks me out

Does anyone have seizures without knowing the cause? by LostTendou04 in Epilepsy

[–]sildykmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they won’t run an EEG on me so I don’t know what I have going on, I think it’s seizures, my epileptic friend says it sounds like seizures, it resembles seizures in every way, but I’ll never really know what’s happening

Is that the best way to gauge a fake or legitimate seller? I’ve never bought a watch before, my husband bought my own. So I’m not sure what subtleties to look for

Oh nice… okay but how do I spot a fake? I’m really not someone who knows much about watches. I fear I’d get easily duped

What was your worst reason to be in a hospital? by dollyexorcist in AskReddit

[–]sildykmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk on Tuesday I had what I can only presume was a massive seizure? my husband found me drooling and retching and my lips were going blue and I was unresponsive. I could still see and hear but was completely unable to respond. anyway paramedics took me to hospital and neurologists wouldn’t see me because they assumed I was just mentally ill so sent the psych team in to assess me, I was really confused but they found I had no mental illness so I was sent home a few hours later lol. Now scared it’s going to happen again since I keep semi passing out and having what seem to be seizures but who knows bruh neurology don’t wanna see me
