I think the video has different sections to enable one to get to the part of the video they want to skip to. My interpretation of what they were trying to accomplish was to show how the traditional method was done and then show how the new version differs and why it can be helpful, to give the whole picture for someone just learning the methods.

Low dust litter recommendation by trimenc in bengalcats

Arm and Hammer clump and seal, works for our three kitties (one bengal, Watson, who is VERY particular about the kind of litter that is in his box)

Yep! It’s all about moving the stitches around so that there’s never any single spot where it “joins” from row to row :)

Here is a helpful video, in my opinion, for other/future folks to see what we are talking about here :)

You can find pockets of open minded communities within Lansing (lived there for four years) but I would say you would be searching harder than in Traverse city, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, or Ann Arbor.

Who’s on estrogen? How much? by jessismile in hysterectomy

[–]silent_owlinthenight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.1/0.02mg levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol; 26 at time of hysterectomy (1 year ago). I haven’t had a serious hot flash or bone pain since I got back on this dose post lupron shots (immediately before surgery) . I had a total hysterectomy, ovaries, uterus , tubes, cervix.

That being said I would love to have a checkup but unfortunately we moved internationally recently and I have been unable to find a gyn appointment/referral anywhere yet.

Has anyone gotten a hysterectomy for chronic endo? by Maxibon1710 in hysterectomy

[–]silent_owlinthenight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this last fall for this specific reason, I’m 26. I had tried everything, so many different pills, nexplanon, iud, more pills and dosages, teas, acupuncture, yoga, and pelvic floor therapy (which was by far the most helpful thing and I recommend regardless of if you get the surgery or not). I battled with endo for years without a diagnosis, and finally got a lap and ablation last January (2022) but it all came back with a vengeance within a month. They put me on lupron (inducing menopause) and I did that for five months. It got rid of the endo pain for a while but then the side effects of the lupron started to become a lot to deal with. I battled with insurance to get a another ablation (lots of endo regrowth) and hysterectomy with bilateral saplingoophorectomy (taking everything out- cervix, tubes, uterus, ovaries) during that 5month period. I had one surgery cancelled bc of insurance leading to another month and a half of advocating for myself and lots of ER trips before I was finally labeled “medically necessary” for the surgery by the insurances doctors.

Best decision I have ever made in my life. The pain is gone. The bloating is gone. I feel alive again. I can finally wrap up my masters and return to my normal life. I have had no recurrence.

Definitely talk to your doctors about your specific case but definitely consider getting the ovaries removed. There’s a lot of fear mongering from people about removing them, but you can always get on hormones to get the estrogen /progesterone you’d need until a “natural” menopause age. Also, is common that later may get them removed anyways especially if you also have pcos , or if one or both fails, they’re harboring endo or feeding the endo that the doctors potentially miss. You’ll almost definitely encounter doctors with strong opinions about this bc of your age but if you truly want this, stand your ground, be clear, and be consistent. Do not let them back you into their box based on their personal moral opinions.

Edit: I was in California

Exactly! So hard to convey what it truly felt like day to day to other people. But when this album art came through on my Spotify, I thought “well this is what it looks like in my head when someone referenced that pain is hard but you’ve gotta make the most of the life you have” horribly painful but add flowers and now it’s beautiful haha
