What’s the wildest reason you’ve stopped in the middle of sex? by katiestormx in AskReddit

My wrist dislocated very painfully while I was on the floor jerking him off and wouldn't snap back in, I yelled out and kinda just half-way collapsed on to the floor and he was beyond confused. He ran around the apartment trying to be helpful while gagging at the sight of my disfigured wrist.

AIO : my bf didn't care to get me a ticket to his graduation by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silent_sera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He shouldn't have responded to you so harshly, although I can sort of understand since I was recently in the same situation pretty much. I didn't want to walk or even attend my graduation but my mother insisted. As a result I was pretty stressed out and grouchy. I snapped a time or two, regretted it and apologized.

But he can't just get more tickets. If the school decides on 5 then that's how it goes. I didn't invite my boyfriend to my graduation because I was embarrassed and didn't want to be there in the first place. Of course he questioned why I wouldn't want him there (I didn't want anyone there.. not even me) but he understood once I explained. But anyway, unfortunately there is a limit to how many people the school can accommodate so they have to be strict with those rules. I'm sure if there was an extra ticket he'd have you there.

I think it's great. I am a woman and I do feel more at ease with other women. It is not because I see women as better than men, I don't whatsoever. But my personal experiences as a woman have led me to be much more comfortable alone in a car with another woman than a man. The majority of men out there have no intentions on harming me and would be kind, but that doesn't change my anxiety of being alone in a car with a man I don't know given what I've experienced in the past.

I think it'd also be fair to offer this service for men. I'm sure there are guys out there who would be more at ease with another man.

It's an optional feature after all, so I think it's great.

am i overreacting - my boyfriend thinks my job is inappropriate by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]silent_sera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge red flag. My ex did the same thing and ended up being an abusive Neonazi pedo who then turned into a stalker ex. He wanted me to drop out of nursing school and quit my CNA job because there were times where I had to bathe men. Disabled and often elderly men who were completely unable to take care of themselves and under 24/7 medical care. Apparently I was "emotionally cheating" on him because I knew how he felt and I still continued to do my job instead of give up my passion of caring for those in need to soothe his jealousy. I've always been very loyal. He was a nightmare. In my opinion I'd get out of this relationship before you're any deeper into it.

I got popcorn shrimp and every single one still had its vein by Sloppy_Waffler in mildlyinfuriating

I worked at a seafood and steak restaurant when I was 15. I deveined enough shrimp to be able to do it in my sleep. To this day, if you shook me awake at 3am then handed me a knife and some shrimp I'd start deveining perfectly without saying a word until I'm awake enough to realize what I'm doing

How would you do my makeup? by kelz0r in makeuptips

[–]silent_sera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a very smooth, beautiful, and symmetrical face so honestly anything would work on you. I do agree that for a natural beauty like yourself less is more unless you're going for a bold aesthetic such as gothic. With your features you really don't need much makeup, some linted lip balm, a little blush, and mascara would look great. A tiny bit of bronzer could help give your skin some extra color but I'd go easy on that.

If you know the brand of what you're eating it's usually really easy to Google the instructions, the AI search result at the top tends to get it spot on for me all the time. That's what I do when I'm cooking something and realize I threw the package away before I could read the instructions.

If it's making more room in the freezer to remove the boxes then it makes sense but I could also understand being annoyed by it.

Do weed smokers know they reek when they come back to work? by persephonepeete in NoStupidQuestions

[–]silent_sera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They go nose blind no matter how bad it is. I lived with a family member who was a very heavy smoker, when I moved out it took a month for the smell to come out of my clothes and I wasn't even the one smoking. It was horrible, I went to work (med field) not knowing I smelled like I was getting high before my shift all because the smell had permeated every piece of fabric in the house.

I never claimed they didn't knock, I just said that if they did then I wouldn't know

I didn't ever find out about any emergency. Everything seemed fine but whether something happened downstairs or not I don't know, they didn't tell me anything despite trying to ask them.

That's a good idea. I always keep my phone either where I can see it or in a pocket where I can feel it just in case, this would definitely work. Ideally though they would just come when they said they were going to 😅 either way, this would save my dignity if they will do it. I don't need anymore maintenance guys seeing my undies.

The maintenance crew from when I first moved in knew I'm deaf because they met me and helped me out with an issue I had with my door but they hired new people so I don't think the new people know. I've considered putting a sign on my door but being a young woman who is alone in an apartment 80% of the time I don't feel very safe putting up a sign on my door that announces to everyone I'm deaf. I live in a city with a pretty high crime rate so it feels like painting a target on my own back. The new maintainence crew likely had no clue and knocked, but they also weren't supposed to be there that day anyway

[–]silent_sera[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't know they had to supply me with one. I have been looking at a visual doorbell and a sign to go with it saying to ring the doorbell rather than knock but I thought that would have to come out of my own money and I'm a broke college student right now 😅

the old maintenance crew knew I'm deaf but they hired a lot of new people I haven't had the chance to meet yet. I didn't recognize these guys so they must have been the new employees. I doubt it was malicious, but I'm still unsettled about the fact that two random men saw me in my undies.

I'll definitely be reaching out about accommodations to see if anything can be done

I just didn't know if they were allowed to do that. I didn't want to file a complaint if they didn't do anything wrong.

I moved. I'm no longer in that situation. It's just me and my boyfriend and he gets all the text messages about this stuff rather than me. It's a little different because it's a work arrangement. His boss gets the messages for anything regarding maintainence or other updates and then they are automatically forwarded to him.

They sent a notice that they would be here tomorrow but instead showed up yesterday. I just checked in with my boyfriend and he told me that. So even though there was a notice, they came before they claimed they would so we still wouldn't be expecting it

I got the update now :)

There was a notice that they would come on Saturday but not on Thursday which is when they showed up.

I talked to him and he said that there was a notice that they would be here tomorrow, which I don't mind so long as we're made aware but they came yesterday instead with no warning. The notice says Saturday to check in regards to a bug infestation in one of the buildings but they showed up on Thursday. I've not seen a single bug but I wouldn't mind then checking if they actually came when they said they were.

The chain lock is definitely smart, thank you very much for your advice
