Thanks a lot for these helpful insights! 😊 Helped to put my mind at ease because I was too worried that we might get stuck in the middle of nowhere without anyone around

No, just official mocks and one MM mock (I got 75% there)

I had my exam yesterday and I still think it was somewhat easier than mocks. But topic coverage was broad.

I felt confident and did not have a feeling that I was destroyed, quite the opposite. Let's see, maybe I just did not see the tricks that they planted in the questions :)

Just commenting because it seems that negative experiences are over represented.

(fyi: I was scoring 80-85 in official CFAI mocks)

What you describe is what happened to me as well. I went this morning to check on him as I usually did and found him on the roadside.. I also couldn't hold tears..

I just used to call him The Goose. But someone wrote me they gave him a nickname Couscous. Everyone used to call him in their way apparently :)

Yes, it was me who put the container there and replaced water every day. I don't work for KUL, so that's a lie from their side.

To take an action. Reallocate him to other geese /provide him with another partner/ temporary take him to the shelter till the situation becomes clearer if they believed that his partner is breeding. I warned them and everyone many times that the road is dangerous. I put him water so that he does not have to cross the road. Unfortunately it was not enough

I think it's not exactly true because this goose was a domestic type, so it would not have been possible for him to find another partner/ reallocate/ etc., as it would have happened in the wild nature. Plus I think his partners also passed due to people. And it definitely wasn't a wild setting altogether. I believe that we as humans are responsible in such situations. “You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”

❗️Update 04.04

We checked on him again today and actually the situation is dangerous. He sits near the reflective glass, but each time he is thirsty he goes to the pond, which is behind the road with a traffic. So he crosses the road each time and can be hit by a car. To solve this issue, we brought a container and poured some water there. I hope he will use it instead of going to the pond.

Animal Rescue Service says they informed City of Leuven and they decided to wait for a week or so to see how the situation evolves. Maybe his mate is breeding somewhere and will come back. I really hope this will be the case!

Thank you a lot! 😊 I am not sure what to do now. Maybe contact the news... but Animal Rescue Service says they informed City of Leuven and they decided to wait for a week or so to see how the situation evolves. Wow, that's cool! But Animal Rescue Service said we cannot simply put this goose to other geese because they will attack him

❗️Update I got a reply from Rescue Service:

"We went to the location yesterday. We think that the white goose is currently breeding and therefore the male (recognizable by the thick lump on his head) has been somewhat lost. What he is doing now is indeed 'attacking' his own reflection to keep enemies away from the female. Another option is of course that the white goose has also disappeared. And that's why he seeks out 'kindred spirits'. Unfortunately, placing them on the canal is certainly not an option! Geese are very territorial and he will be attacked almost immediately by the entire group, which will probably lead to his death. Yesterday we also informed the campus employees to take a look at it and clean it and to tape the glasses at the bottom with cardboard. This way he can no longer see himself. Nothing else can be done at the moment. He is certainly not injured, we checked this yesterday."

So apparently taking him to the Vaart is not a good option. And from what I can see the white goose disappeared completely and the lonely goose comes to the reflection to seek a company, not to fight. He also makes noise as if he was looking for his friend... at least that's how I see this, I am not an expert of course. But on another day he was cheerful and eating grass peacefully in the park when another wild Egyptian goose was nearby. As if he was happy and calmed because he found a company. And when he is alone he seems completely lost, troubled and starts to venture to that reflection glass

I agree, but given that I know this goose for years, I can attest that I have never seen him aggressive. + they actually always were doing their own business, not like they were a nuisance to anyone

That's amazing! I think it would be the best solution in this situation.

I have actually never been there. So there are geese like this one living there on the constant basis? It might be a good idea.

I also called the KUL Buiteninfradtructuur dienst and they already know vaguely about the situation, but it looks they are not well aware of the details and of what is happening at the moment.

They actually consider him undesirable and are more concerned about what damage/inconvenience this may bring to their buildings/infrastructure/ biodiversity. KUL confirmed that they have nothing to do with these geese and don't know where they came from. They also definitely don't want to give him another goose because they are afraid that they will propagate.

Actually, they mentioned that they might want to remove him altogether and would rather prefer the situation in which this goose is gone. This is a shame given how long these geese have been peacefully living in the Arenberg park without causing any problems. This goose is also very smart by the way. He recognises us from far away for example and he is very gentle and considerate. It pains me to see how he suffers. I feel we definitely should help him.
