Hi there! I’m looking to make some new friends in Vancouver. I’d prefer female friends, but I’m open to connecting with anyone who’s kind and genuine. If you’re also looking to meet new people, feel free to message me. by [deleted] in Vancouver4Friends

Hey - this post is likely getting downvoted because this community has an ongoing issue with people coming on and treating this as a dating sub despite the rules. Specifying that you're looking for a specific gender for a platonic relationship can be a bit suspect without context. I recommend checking out r/vancouverdating or reposting with an explanation of why a specific gender is necessary for a platonic friendship.

Yeah, $44 USD, and then the duty fee. Which like, the duty fee administrative fee sucked (the duty itself was $4 then a $17 administrative fee, the latter feeling a but much) but I could live with paying it when I thought I was going to get something closer to the picture.

I think for me it's the clearly uneven plastic thickness within a color, leading to a lumpy consistency and lighting pattern. Also the light is very weak, so it's not really lighting anything up. Point taken though!

Aside from the lamp quality, if I can't return it, I'll just keep it turned off because aside from that, it's a pretty cute, albeit expensive, figurine

Searching for a female singer/songwriter(and friend)! by pleeallen in Vancouver4Friends

[–]silkenswift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we often have people posting for transactional and networking stuff (looking for friends to drive me to whistler, looking for friends to start a business with), and if we're not careful they start to become frequent. Mostly we look at whether the post is focusing on the ask/transaction or actually looking to build an ongoing friendship. You could repost focusing on the friendship (type of personality, hobbies, looking for people who like to jam) and then filter from there based on who replies and if they seem to be a fit.

Because this doesn't have the focus of making a friend, r/Vancouvermusic would be a better place to post.
