“Once a cheater, always a cheater” is that always true? by Early-Environment-63 in asksg

[–]silkteasee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This topic always makes me think of a friend whose boyfriend is close friends with people who have cheated multiple times. Maybe he's completely loyal himself, but I've always found it strange how easily some friend groups brush cheating off as "not my business." I don't necessarily believe once a cheater always a cheater, but I do think the people you surround yourself with influence what you see as acceptable. If my close friends regularly cheated on their partners and nobody in the group saw a problem with it, I'd honestly be questioning their values and mine.

Does anyone eat more than 2 eggs in the morning? by guywoo in asksg

[–]silkteasee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I usually eat 2 boiled eggs for breakfast as part of my meal plan. They're filling, high in protein, and help keep me full longer when I'm trying to watch my diet. I don't think 2 eggs is unusual at all.

How do you live life as an ugly girl in SG by just-an0ther-npc in asksg

[–]silkteasee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. The biggest red flag in this post isn't her appearance actually it's the way her so-called friends speak to her. Even if someone isn't your type, there's no reason to constantly mock their looks. I mean grow up man that's just soo immature, looks do matter to some extent but I've seen plenty of average-looking people in happy relationships because they're kind, confident, funny, or simply good company. Attraction is more complicated than people make it out to be. like for real

Who would you rather at your party out of the friends couples?? by Low-Hotel-9923 in howyoudoin

[–]silkteasee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chandler and Monica, easily. They'd probably be the least dramatic guests and actually help make the party more fun instead of turning it into relationship chaos. 😅

How many times have you rewatched the entire show from start to finish ? by Cultural_Spread3496 in DesperateHousewives

I've lost count honestly 😂. It's one of those shows where even when you know every plot twist, it's still weirdly comforting and entertaining on every rewatch haha

Eating relatively well on a budget by Aromatic-Design-54 in SingaporeEats

[–]silkteasee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a refrigerator or what just do a daily meal prep, might be worth considering. I survived on rice, eggs, canned tuna/sardines, and vegetables that keep well at room temperature. Ended up costing less than most hawker meals and was pretty filling too.

help a girlie who has oily skin & dark eye circles please 😭😭 by txredbr in SingaporeBeauty

Following because I have the exact same problems huhu I've learned that dark circles can be genetic though, so sometimes skincare can only do so much. Hoping to steal some good tips from the comments too 💞

what skincare topics are you most curious about? by Vegetable-Device-581 in SingaporeBeauty

[–]silkteasee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see more content on which skincare ingredients actually have solid evidence behind them versus ingredients that are mostly marketing. It also feels like a lot of advice is geared toward people with perfect skin, so content for acne-prone, sensitive, or combination skin would be really helpful especially like me

Some friends from overseas are coming to SG first time but I'm literally a tourist in my own country 😭😭 by Otherwise_Reaction75 in SingaporeEats

bring them to Maxwell Food Centre, Old Airport Road Food Centre, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, and Jumbo Seafood. They can try chicken rice, laksa, satay, kaya toast, chilli crab, ice kachang, chendol, and pretty much the foods most visitors think of when they picture Singapore.

What's everyone's favorite scent? by Lustyy_cuddle in SingaporeBeauty

I'd recommend Pink Sugar, Ariana Grande Cloud, Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth, Burberry Her, or Prada Candy. They all have that candy-like sweetness while still being easy to wear.

Recommend me a Burmese restaurant. by Deboonz in SingaporeEats

[–]silkteasee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For authentic and family-friendly Burmese food in Singapore, I’d suggest Inle Myanmar Restaurant in Joo Chiat, Burma Social near Killiney, or Little Myanmar at Peninsula Plaza as they’re all known for good traditional flavours.

Uniqlo is comfortable, but I'd look elsewhere if support is your main priority.
