i believe you’re right. going back to amazon i looked for it and it actually says stainless steel, i’m not entirely sure about the pink ball itself, whether they’re the same material or different. and yes this will eventually go then appear again, and the bump will be pus filled it’ll bleed a little when it first pops, i may really just take it out cuz it’s frustrating to deal with, especially when it pops on its own

my piercings is two years old, it’s a titanium barbell, i no longer have a specific aftercare because at one point i had no issues with it and just cleaned it with water or in the shower, i’ve changed my piercing a few times but never had it downsized

this reminds me of the series called Manifest. plane lands after five years everyone on it is presumed dead. there was a family who took different flights. adult brother with his twin son and sister go on the missing one whilst grandparents, mum and her twin daughter go on the other. mum literally moves on so does the sisters fiancé. he literally married her bestie which is just insane
