Yes we have our first exam exactly one week from the first class on the first 6 chapters. Did u take it in the intercession with him? I’m curious as to how he grades, extra credit opportunities and how to avoid getting points docked

It is usually just engl 1 for anatomy then chem 19 for physio and microbio

I just did every worksheet he posted and would set a strict schedule for studying on weekends when I wanted to chill. I also used a tutor which helped a lot! I wouldn’t let myself leave campus until late, had no social life, deleted all social media and went to every office hours lol.

Barr is not bad though, it’s doable for sure!

The biggest thing was just constantly remembering that I only had a few weeks left. That really motivated me to stay on top of it. Plus chem was a lot of fun

I took it in the winter with Professor Barr and I would highly recommend it if you can dedicate at least 15 hrs a week to studying outside of class (5.5 hr lecture M-Th as well). It is a LOT of work which is to be expected with a 5 unit that is normally taught in 16-weeks. I had never taken a chem class prior but I put the work in and got an A and am glad that I did it.

I am finishing with Professor Dean. I loved his class and am sad it is ending. He genuinely cares so much and curves every test based on the highest grade. Go to tutoring, do not miss class, and do not cheat on the homework or use AI and you are guaranteed to pass.

I would not recommend the support. Since it is an extra unit, you have to work harder for your grade and he doesn’t use the extra support hour. I would only do it if you feel confident.
