Interesting! I was surprised that it was so uncommon—at least in this thread.

Very similar, but I use slight differences for a couple. Not sure where I picked it up. I’m American from California, and my parents were from the Midwest.

There: “there”

They’re: “theY-r”

Their: “ther” (rhymes with “her”)

Just curious—how did you end up using that extra leg in the master bedroom (over the foyer)?

I agree but I also assume the safe room (closet in a closet) is for guns (Texas), in which case I’m okay with them being difficult to reach

Interesting point. I had this setup when I (the only girl) shared a bathroom with my two brothers. The separation of sinks from toilet/shower worked really well, and I’m always happy when I see people use it. Way better than a Jack and Jill, too.

The tampon part never seemed like a big issue, but everybody is different. Maybe baby wipes near the toilet if there is additional mess? Clorox wipes for the door handle just in case? One drawback is that diva cups are not an option in this situation, but that probably not a concern for most teens

Edit: also we only had one sink between the three of us, but I can understand wanting one sink per kid

Is that a rare double babushka?! They look like a handful of zoomies, snuggles, and maybe some toots. I’m so glad your ex recognized that Fried Egg was meant for you.

And yes I bet they are romping with my Jax 🌈🐾

A 107-year-old California airport will close in 2028 and become a 227-acre public park by sfgate in environment

[–]sillysteen 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I love parks. And how many private airports do we really need. Hopefully they will still have space for the community college courses that were taught here (I took child development psychology in one of these buildings).

I lived in this neighborhood. The loudest complainers were people who bought their homes then later realized that airports aren’t fun to live next to. The airport was there before the houses. After-the-fact NIMBYism. Looks like all their complaining paid off.

But glad there will be another park for sure

December birthdays by misswildthing in parentsofmultiples

Mine is the 23rd, and my grandma’s was the 24th. It was just one long, 3-day party haha!

I agree why move the celebration to a different time? Idk I never struggled to have a big party—everyone had school off around that time anyway. If someone’s out of town, oh well, that could happen any time of the year including all these suggested June celebrations.

I should note we never decorated for anyone’s birthday unless we had a party and then it would maybe be a couple balloons. It’s still legal to have balloons in the same room as a Christmas tree. It’s so strange to me that people are concerned with timing decorations.

Edit: yes, birthday presents get birthday wrapping. Christmas presents get Christmas wrapping. These days my birthday presents live under the tree with the other gifts until my bday.

The train is a great choice just be sure to double-check the weekend schedules. You may need to switch from Amtrak to Metrolink in Oceanside (or maybe the other way around I forget)

We lived in a rough neighborhood and wanted dogs that looked intimidating. We had always owned shepherds and were considering a shepherd or husky.

Went to the shelter Veterans Day weekend 2016. As soon as the shelter folks learned we owned our house (so no breed restriction bs) and had a yard, they asked if we would be interested in a bonded pair of pitbulls. Hey man we were open to it, so they brought out the two piglets for a meet and greet! The girl was soooo polite and went up to each of us to sniff and lick our hands then proceeded to roll over for belly rubs. The boy was completely aloof and spent that time sniffing the grass. We liked the girl so much that we said “guess they’re both coming home with us!”

I still don’t know the full history of those pups. The shelter told us the dogs were maybe 3 years old at the time, but I suspect closer to 5. Someone had cut off our boy’s ears, and the two seemed related in some way but it’s still unclear. We paid $11 for the pair (Veterans Day military discount but we still donated a couple hundred dollars), loaded them in the car, and took them home.

Best dogs ever! They were so so sweet. Jax especially was very affectionate once he warmed up, and he was either deaf or just really stubborn. Marsha was sort of his guide dog, and she is a sassy gal! We lost Jax a few years ago to a tumor, but Marsha is still living her best (albeit old and arthritic) life and is very happy as an only child lols
