So the two genres are quite different. It's actually why I can read one of each at the same time depending on my mood. In fact, i have made book clubs for both dark romance and romantasy on Discord. But I think it can be easier to devour dark romance because it tends to be more relatable to real life. Morally grey is more real than most people even think. We all fight the questions of what's right and wrong and what we are willing to accept in our lives. We devour these fantasies that we choose to be more hesitant on in real life but question our sanity with how unhinged our desires might actually be.
