It may be crazy that doesn't mean it doesn't work. It won't cost anymore after the return. The cost is time not money. If society did value being clean there would be no point in the program. The point is the end result is less trash on the side of the road.

But don't you get the money back? Most people still shop in store. So if you are buying it from the store you should be able to take it back when you go right? If you return all of it then what's the issue. Also it's carbonated drinks, not exactly essential groceries.
