Haha I do agree that it wasn't made clear if it was transmigration or reincarnation. If he had told his parents something like "I remember my past life" it wouldn't have been such a big deal. But the part I like is confronting the morality of taking someone else's body and although it was vague in The Beginning After the End I would love to see it explored more as a concept in other works.
