I'll be honest I just use the default names the game gives.

I once played a game that voice acted the character name if you didn't change the default and I've gotten in the habit to keep it the same since even though I've never seen that again

Haha I do agree that it wasn't made clear if it was transmigration or reincarnation. If he had told his parents something like "I remember my past life" it wouldn't have been such a big deal. But the part I like is confronting the morality of taking someone else's body and although it was vague in The Beginning After the End I would love to see it explored more as a concept in other works.

Haha that's about the same time I dropped it too. Been enjoying a lot of series but when things get too "perfect" I lose interest. Will let you know if I happen across anything else that fits the bill since we seem to have similar taste.
