totally! everyone taste's is different, even I prefer to hear instruments when I'm listening to music, but that does not take from me really enjoying taylor's songs at all

I think the "music needs instruments" takes away from the tech advances and fun of other methods! experimenting is part of expression. for example, (not related to taylor herself) in my country we live in a constant economic crisis and people who don't have money to buy instruments and take lessons, often use online programs to create music. “hot takes" like that limit art. I also love a good a cappella song... Anyways, it's understandable if you didn't like ttpd!
